New Rules Girl of the Year Required a little growing but now it's in my SS top 3 (well, there's only 6 full songs so it's not hard to make it there )

jose168 Posted January 10, 2020 Author Posted January 10, 2020 The way the semester started back up and just snatched my wig like that... 125. Beat of my Drum - Nicola Roberts Released: 2011 Genre: Pop Comment: 124. Get Lost - Washed Out Released: 2017 Genre: Chillwave Comment: Very chill, very wave. 123. Shine - Pentagon Released: 2018 Genre: K-pop, pop-rap Comment: LOVED this trend of melancholic, yet upbeat raps to sparse chords (Love Scenario comes to mind), this was my favorite. 122. Ain't it fun - Paramore Released: 2013 Genre: Pop, New Wave Comment: Much prefer Paramore in a pure pop setting to their more pop-rock stuff. 121. new years eve - american pleasure club Released: 2018 Genre: Indie Rock, Punk Comment: This reminded me to buy this record. This song hits my rock sweet tooth, and its short enough to want to replay over and over. 120. Latch - Disclosure/Sam Smith Released: 2012 Genre: Deep House, Synthpop Comment: Sam hasnt topped this huh. They sound best in these house settings so i'm glad they're embracing that sound this era. 119. Red Flavor - Red Velvet Released: 2017 Genre: K-pop Comment: Best summer song ever Pure joy, and the choreo has left La Macarena bald, wigless, scalped. 118. Not Abel - Hop Along Released: 2018 Genre: Folk Rock Comment: STUNNING vulnerable vocal performance. 117. Plains - Deerhunter Released: 2019 Genre: Indie Rock, Pop Comment: Already expressed my love in the 2019 list but yea this is great. I like their more clean sound when Cox is more enthused vocally. 116. Bank Accounts and Dollar Bills - Siskiyou Released: 2015 Genre: Shoegaze, Indie Rock Comment: This is how you whisper Selena take notes 115. Nice for What - Drake Released: 2015 Genre: Pop, Rap, Bounce Comment: This song is entirely made by Big Frieda and the Lauren sample but still fantastic. 114. She Is - Jonghyun Released: 2016 Genre: K-pop, R&B Comment: RIP . He was truly one of Korea's premier talents. Singer, Songwriter, Dancer, Choreographer. Absolutely not over his passing. 113. Pyramids - Noonie Bao Released: 2015 Genre: Synthpop Comment: Noonie is a fantastic songwriter behind pop masterpieces like Run Away With Me and Gone and I'm truly surprised she hasnt taken off as a soloist. 112. I Like That - Sistar Released: 2016 Genre: K-pop, Dance pop Comment: They did THAT Sistar were one of the sexiest, and vocally gifted groups in Kpop. And this was an absolute banger. 111. Good Form - Nicki Minaj Released: 2018 Genre: Rap, Trap Comment: This is for every red carpet video twitter has placed this song on. 110. Warm Water - Banks Released: 2014 Genre: Chillwave, R&B Comment: This is equally for the fantastic snakehips remix 109. Katy on a Mission - Katy B Released: 2010 Genre: UK Garage, Dubstep, Drum & Bass. Comment: The quality whew. Katy does not get her credit as an innovator in the pop landscape, this track preceding brass dubstep incorperations to many large pop acts. 108. Skyfall - Adele Released: 2012 Genre: Pop, Soul, Orchestra Comment: Love the subdued vocal performance she delivers on this. 107. Los Ageless - St. Vincent Released: 2017 Genre: Dance, Rock, New Wave Comment: Very sleek, sexy song. Though in retrospect maybe I prefer Cruel. 106. Not - Big Thief Released: 2019 Genre: Folk Rock Comment: Another song I already oodled over in my 2019 list but yes, vocals, STUN. A career highlight. 105. C'mon - Kesha Released: 2012 Genre: Pop Comment: It's kind of hard to praise keshas older music context considered, but at the end of the day its HER art. This song was v underrated and deserved better, pure pop bliss. 104. Timebomb - Kylie Minogue Released: 2012 Genre: Pop, Disco Comment: WHO is doing it like Kylie at her age. What an earworm. 103. I Belong in Your Arms - Chairlift Released: 2012 Genre: Indie pop, Synthpop Comment: Quintessential Chairlift track, predates the 80s throwback trend too! 102. 4 Walls - f(x) Released: 2015 Genre: K-pop, House Comment: This track was quite impactful in breaking the critic circle in western music, though that says more about them than about k-pop. RIP to Sulli . 101. No Devotion - White Hinterland Released: 2014 Genre: Art Pop, Indie Rock Comment: The sharp riff in the beginning instantly hooks you, and you stay for the awesome jarring vocal performance.

C'mon Yup it's really a discography highlight and should've been #1 instead of WRWWR.
