jose168 Posted December 17, 2019 Author Posted December 17, 2019 100. Wine Pon You - Doja Cat This track is spacey, and I was impressed with Doja's ability to rap and sing pretty well! 99. Woman on the Hills - Isaac Dunbar Isaac is fifteen (15!) and is putting out very cool music. Looking forward to his debut. 98. Press - Cardi B Press has a flow that is borderline comical, but Cardi still sells a song very well. 97. Melody of Love - Hot Chip The song has lots of sections for a 4 minute track, I love the sermon in the second half. 96. Panini - Lil Nas X Panini's are really good. 95. Lose you to love me - Selena Gomez This had to grow on me, but there is something endearing about Selena's elementary school talent show vocals. 94. Icy - Kim Petras On the opposite end of LYTLM, Icy is here because Kim truly impressed with her voices range and power. 93. Pop Song - Perfume Genius While the song's atmosphere is stunning as always, I don't think Perfume Genius has treaded any new ground here. 92. The Barrel - Aldous Harding As always, Aldous writes beautiful poetry. 91. You Had Your Soul With You - The National "You have no idea how hard I died when you left" is one of my fav lyrics this year.
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted December 17, 2019 ATRL Moderator Posted December 17, 2019 Lose You To Love Me is my fave in this update. Excited for the rest!
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 18, 2019 ATRL Moderator Posted December 18, 2019 The other perfume genius song was better Press isn't very good, the song's hook is bad. The selena song is cute, her best droplet I guess.
ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 18, 2019 ATRL Moderator Posted December 18, 2019 pop song, press, the barrel
Remmy Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 Lose You to Love Me I agree it's a grower. The way the song progresses is great. Icy A Starboy ripoff but I actually prefer Kim's version by a little bit.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 Icy is a jam LYTLM was cute, but just for a minute
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 Icy, Los You To Love Me, The National Mess not me forgetting Panini this year And also Perfume Genius
SLIME Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 Love song screenshots on Instagram K*m is a great pop singer it’s true!
Eeveelution Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 The barrel is so good, maybe her best song

jose168 Posted December 18, 2019 Author Posted December 18, 2019 90. Loves Missing - Iggy Pop Free wasn’t the follow up I was hopping to Post Pop Depression but this ballad almost gets there with a stellar vocal performance from mister Pop. 89. Sunflower - Vampire Weekend/Steve Lacy A highlight on Father of the Bride, the song is quite groovy in its humming sections. 88. Te Supere - Becky G/Zion Y Lenox Becky G's debut album was hilariously on the nose with her I'm a hoe theme , but I'm happy it's here! No major standouts honestly, but this stands out as the most radio ready bop. 87. Solita - Kali Uchis This replaced a Rosalia song here (theres too many on my list) since it came out quite recently, but a solid comeback song! 86. Lover - Taylor Swift A sweet ballad, calling back to Red era (Begin Again, All too well esque). It's refreshing to hear this side of her again. 85. I Feel Love - Sam Smith A nice cover! I'm glad he decided to go there vocally, reaching high falsettos. He certainly didn’t reinvent the wheel with this but when the original is perfect, this is at least great. 84. Sweet Spot - Kim Petras Recalling Discovery era Daft Punk, this unabashed synthpop disco moment is where miss Lipa wishes she could go. 83. Save Room for Us - Tinashe & MAKJ Is this the poppiest song on the new Tinashe record? Absolutely. Am I a pop music hoe who will absolutely flock to it? Absolutely. 82. Ignoring the Truth - Bear Hands Bear Hands made the pivot to massive pop choruses on Fake Tunes and this is good! 81. Home - Caribou Home takes a lovely sample and creates a "homey" atmosphere that evokes nostalgia for me.
Tom Vercetti Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Hello. Awaiting to hear thoughts on new Carly. In the meantime, Solita is pretty good. Kali should just fully embrace reggaeton/dancehall for her second album.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 19, 2019 ATRL Moderator Posted December 19, 2019 You picked the right Tinashe album cut And Taylor (tho paper rings is slightly better) I feel love is sam's best song, not saying much but
Remmy Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Lover I don't love it as much as many others do but it's obviously great. Save Room for Us is nice. Sweet Spot My favorite from Clarity, Kimmy went off on that one for sure.
