ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted December 27, 2019 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 27, 2019 Next category: ? Best EPs of 2019 ? A list of 5 EPs that were released this year. There are also 3 honorable mentions.
Remmy Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 I know a good amount of Celine hits but I haven't really paid attention to any new music aside from that song for Deadpool 2 My sister is a massive Jonas Brothers stan but as for me, meh. Plus this new album didn't really do it for me, some songs sounded trend-hoppy and others were just forgettable. At least there's still a few great tracks to be found. Love Her is in my bottom 2 for sure so I can agree w/ your views on that Took a peek at Before You Exit and they seem cuteish but I'm not sure if what I heard was strong enough. Listened to a decent amount of EPs this year, let me see if I'll know anything on your list

I was surprised when I heard their new album because I wasn't expecting to hear something that I like from them since I was never interested on their music. But I really liked the album The production it's great, most of the songs are catchy. But the 2nd half of the album is not as great as the first half and near the end of the album I was a bit bored. Favorite: Every Single Time Least favorite: Love Her (a carbon copy of JB's Love Yourself) Not here for the album but here for the cakes, pandering kings On 12/26/2019 at 11:52 PM, kelly-clarkson said: 1: Before You Exit - Love, Pain, & Retrospect I discovered them this year and in 2019 they released their debut album. I chose this album as a #1 because it's a great album in every aspect. It's not magnificent or the best album that I heard in my life, but the production it's great, I like the lyrics, in some of the songs they showcase their vocals, there's variety in the album (sad songs & dark bops), none of the songs sound like a filler. I like every song of this album, and it's a original pop record that deserved to be #1 on my list Favorites: Painkiller, Numb, Sinking In I will check this out! Never heard of them...
ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted December 29, 2019 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 29, 2019 Anja Nissen - Where I Am - EP I discovered Anja this year and I love her voice. It's a shame that this is EP is the only original material she released, she has such a great voice One of the reasons why this EP is in the Honorable Mentions list it's because this is was released in 2017 in comparison with the other EPs which were released in 2019. The other reason is the production in some songs... Some of the sounds sound amazing and are my favorite ones that I discovered this year (like "Where I Am" ), but then there's songs (like "Before You Were Cool") that sound dated. Hoewever she showcases her voice in most of the songs on the EP In conclusion the vocals of Anja are the strength of this EP Favorites: Where I Am (so good!!!!), Empire, Tears Ago Least favorite: Before You Were Cool Catie Turner - The Sad Vegan Cute debut EP of the American Idol contestant Catie Turner. Some of the songs are really nice and I enjoy the vibe of the EP. But I also find some of the songs a bit boring. Hoewever I don't dislike any song in particular. Favorites: Home, Savior Laura Marano - ME This is Laura's debut EP and to be honest I expect more from her... but I really admire that she cares for her music career and started release music independent on her own. She even shot the music videos for each song on the EP The songs on the EP are generic pop songs. They may not be innovative or breathtaking but they're not bad! It's a cute start for Laura Favorites: Let Me Cry, Lie To Me Least favorite: Not Like Me
ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted December 29, 2019 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 29, 2019 5: Benedict Cork - Letters To Strangers A great EP. I love the way he sings. The piano-driven songs (like "Breaking Hearts" or "Boys Don't Cry") are the standouts from this EP Favorites: Breaking Hearts, Boys Don't Cry Least favorite: Therapy
ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted December 29, 2019 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 29, 2019 4: PRETTYMUCH - Phases - EP When I first heard this EP I was surprised. I thought PRETTYMUCH finally was finding their sound where the songs are pop but also they were able to showcase the different sides from their voices... But I was wrong, after this they released another EP which is a step down from the Phases EP for me However this is a great EP. The best bops from this EP are the songs "Gone 2 Long" and "Phases". Also their best song it's included in the EP: "Eyes Off You" it's sooo good, they really showcase their vocals in that song. Favorites: Eyes Off You, Gone 2 Long, Phases Least favorite: One Shot
ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted December 29, 2019 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 29, 2019 3: Miley Cyrus - SHE IS COMING This EP has a strong start with "Mother's Daughter", one of my favorite songs of Miley. Then "Unholy" is also a great song where Miley made some points saying why everyone blames her for doing the things most of the people do? Then the quality of the EP starts to fade out. Cattitude it's horrible... Sounds like a meme (in a bad way)... The lyrics of the songs are so bad Quote Ride, shine, clock said p*ssy time Bust my p*ssy nut while I'm fingering your butt Do I suck d!ck? You ain't seen sh!t Throw a C-note, watch you slide down my throat Yeah, my p*ssy fine, I pop it 'cause it's mine I don't give a f*ck if they call me a slut What I do with a d!ck, elect me presid!ck Put tears in his eyes when I milk a brother dry I don't understand who thought releasing this song was a good idea. After listening this song, the other 2 songs remaining in the EP sound like masterpieces. So yeah it's an amazing EP if we pretend Cattitude doesn't exist Also I was looking forward to Miley's album this year Favorites: Mother's Daughter, Unholy Least favorite: Cattitude (one of Miley's worst songs ever)
ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted December 29, 2019 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 29, 2019 2: Zhavia - 17 - EP I really love Zhavia and her vibe. Her sound it's like a mix of Pop, R&B combined with other styles. Candlelight is my favorite song of her, it's like the perfect song made for her voice. Can't wait to hear more songs from her Favorites: Candlelight, Deep Down, 17
ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted December 29, 2019 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 29, 2019 (edited) 1: Before You Exit - 002_pain I discovered Before You Exit listening this EP. It's amazing. I don't know what to say about this. Their songs at first could sound simple but after some listens I could appreciatte the different elements in the background which are present in the song. Another thing that I love about the EP is how the intensity of the songs raises as long as the song progresses. Especially in "Painkiller" (their best song). The last chorus of that song it's amazing Favorites: Painkiller, Numb Edited December 29, 2019 by kelly-clarkson
