For every person who thinks it's one of the greatest K-pop songs, there's another who thinks it's one of the worst. And there's some objective issues like the clumsy slowdown back to the rockier portion of the track and how short that part is, which just makes it come off unnecessary. Vibrato isn't as exciting but it doesn't have as many flaws. Thank you! This was a nice surprise as I thought the thread was 100% dead. I personally think Gee is their better, more defining track over IGAB and ITNW which I usually see touted as such, but I have compromised with IGAB. Galaxy Supernova is lowkey their #2

Galaxy Supernova is lowkey their #2 Gee is definitely their most defining track and basically THE defining girl group song of the 2010's (even though it was released in 2009 ). It was like the match that lit the fire. I respect it but I personally can't stand it. My tolerance for aegyo has gone way up over the years but I still can't stomach Gee. I actually kinda like Oh though. Stan Galaxy Supernova! I have really vivid memories of listening to that on repeat and playing Animal Crossing New Leaf in the summer of 2013. Gossip Girls, Motorcycle, and Karma Butterfly are great too. Also YES! Thank you for trudging me to page 10! WOO!
jose168 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Not to keep reviving your thread but do you have this in playlist form? Would be clutch

Would be clutch I was going to, but several of the songs aren't available on Spotify and some of them aren't available on iTunes/Apple Music now. I just turned off my Spotify subscription anyway. I can easily make a YouTube playlist, though, even though that's less fancy? I'm currently trying to recreate my "Ultimate Female K-pop Playlist" that I mentioned in the Jazz Club review at #59. If I'm done with that before BOTD shuts down I can also make a YouTube playlist for that, which would basically be the same playlist but in an order that has a smoother flow (and maybe a few bonus songs to help with transitions ).
Red Light Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 @jose168 Not ideal, but I went ahead and whipped up the YouTube playlist for you in order of 100 to 1. Sorry about any intros the MV's might have. I also made one for my Ultimate Female K-pop Playlist, which I personally recommend. It's the same songs except they're in a smooth, flowing arrangement, Red Light is included, and there are some cool interludes.
jose168 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Omg KING (or Queen or Gender Neutral royalty), thank u soooo much (on itunes)
