NFR! top 20 we love to see it Gonna peruse through your top 30 and HMs for anything that looks interesting
theblackestday Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Lovely talented countdown. Love pretty much all of these and I love that you shoutouted Aquaphoria, which would technically be AOTY if it was an official album

Little Simz - GREY Area ...and the winner is... 1. Tyler, the Creator - IGOR When I Get Home and Charli are awesome outputs, the latter stands out as the only pop album in your top 20 (that i know of), unless we count Igor and NFR. Speaking of, Igor is def worthy of #1 and any list without it top 10 is questionable!

The more overt art pop releases I may need to wait to have a true moment with, but I tried with all. Dedicated is just aight to me when measured against Carly's other output. Maybe time will help its case though. Blood Orange's was a mixtape! But it had lots of great features. Cool listen Honestly Charli XCX is god. Like I've said I was expecting a wholely mixed bag, but after months of having it I think almost every song works towards the greater vision. And even the weaker ones pale against the number of peaks. I'm very impressed. WIGH is also a whole meal of course. But yeah, the alt girls held it down this year! Hope you can find something to enjoy, friend. - Update to the other thread:
Pink Matter Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 There are a few albums that I have saved rn that I need to check out (Helado Negro, FlyLo, Spellling) and some others I need to relisten to again (Tyler, Solo). I've seen a bunch of praise for the Little Simz album so I'll check her out too.

World Eater Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 in hindsight slowthai and Denzel released probably the only rap albums I enjoyed this year Spellling, Big Thief, Chromatics, The Comet Is Coming, Lana, black midi, Kelela, Caroline, Billy & Kenny shame that Bandana didn't serve much of longevity for me, especially after the last album, but then again, the bar was set really high twigs, Jamila, Solo, Charli, Sandy and Tyler all deserve
