I still need to hear that Weeknd mixtapes :fan:

BWET is great :clap3: but tbh she waited too long to release this, I mean , if it was released a jear after 1991 it would've been such a slay :jonny5:

Art Angels and VIsions :clap3:

Ceremonials low-key serving their best project to date :eli:

Dirty Janelle? :skull: sis :skull: welp, still an amazing album and I'm so glad she's getting some recognition thanks to it

I’m glad Broke With Expensive Taste made both your honourable mentions and best 50 albums of the decade :clap3:

it’s what she that album deserves :eli:

They're far better than his studio albums and they're only 9 songs :fan:

Good thing I didn't get fully into her until like 2 years ago so I didn't have to endure the pushbacks :keir:

What about Dirty Janelle :fan: The JanelleDroid deserves that recognition tho :chick1: and The Electric Janelle was cute too

Yeah Trench was a disappointment both music and era wise, but Imagine Dragons came back from flopping so I guess they could too.

That Weeknd mixtape seems interesting, I agree his new music is so bad :rip:

Top 50 Albums

30. Björk - Vulnicura

v76qFfQ.jpg

Quote

Standouts: Notget, Family, Stonemilker

What an album cover :smitten: she always knows how to serve if we ignore Utopia's cover

I really gotta listen to this album more, it's her best this decade by lightyears and possibly her best since Vespertine? The only reason I'm doubtful is because she had the NERVE to ruin it with Atom Dance :rip: Anohni's vocals aren't pleasant in the slightest and the song is just uninteresting in general. I could live with Quicksand being the only filler-ish song cause everything else is top notch but this is unforgivable :shakeno: Outside of those two, everything is either a 9 or 10 :heart2: but Black Lake did not need to be *that* long nnn half of the song feels empty

29. Paramore - Paramore

kxgjhgl.jpg

Quote

Standouts: Ain't It Fun, (One of Those) Crazy Girls, Last Hope

Stanned this so hard back in the day, After Laughter stans can ROT btw, this is miles better  I think it hindsight the interludes and Be Alone could have been deleted and it would have been much better cause it's quite long but I can tolerate them. I also didn't care for Future much and it's still not my fave cause it sounds unfinished but lowkey a bop x some career highs on this, I stan everything from the beginning until Last Hope :smitten: Still Into You is still overrated and mediocre, never liked ha much x

28. Tinashe - Aquarius

roFejFk.jpg

Quote

Standouts: 2 On, All Hands on Deck, Feels Like Vegas

I remember randomly checking this out the day it came out and immediately stanning :smitten: oddly enough, I had saved 2 On in my library at the start of the year but didn't really listen until the album/it blew up :toofunny3: This was her easily peak, it was all downhill from here nnnnn

I don't use Thug Cry or How Many Times but I can overlook them cause the rest is impeccable. She really deserved to smash with AHOD, that video was serving k-pop production, quality and choreography :heart2:  truly a timeless body of work. Also I love how she almost went Top 100 with Watch Me Work cause people thought it was Rih's Work :deadbanana2:

27. Charli XCX - Pop 2

wGFj75Q.jpg

Quote

Standouts: Unlock It, Track 10, Lucky

It's unbelievable how much this grew on me. I think initially I only liked maybe Track 10 and Porsche to a certain extent, which I find pretty forgettable now (I genuinely forgot this was on the album until I checked the tracklist :rip:). Like, I used to think Unlock It was annoying af but after hearing it at the Reputa Tour it just CLICKED :jonny5: I Got It and Tears took a long time to grow on me as well. I'm gonna need more interesting ballads from her like Lucky, not the boring crap she put on Charli :rip: Backseat is also v underrated :heart2: I can even tolerate Femmebot now and I'd stan Delicious if it weren't for the feature :-*

26. St. Vincent - MASSEDUCTION

UWEaK9L.jpg

Quote

Standouts: Sugarboy, Los Ageless, Pills

This album is like the prime example of switch like ******s :deadbanana2: the way everyone stanned until a few mixed reviews came in and y'all dropped it like a rock fffff - I still love ha tho, it doesn't flow all that well with the piano ballads being throw in between the upbeat, hyper bops and it may not be as consistent as Strange Mercy or Actor but it's still sooooo good and way better than her overrated self-titled album :-* songs like Pills and Sugarboy are repetitive enough that they're incredibly catch and boppy but not so much that they get annoying, at least for me. And can someone tell me why Fear the Future and Young Lover as SO underrated, they're such bops, especially the latter :jonny2: I actually remember this getting hyped up here so I gave it like 2 plays and didn't like it (I wasn't huge on indie girls at the time) and was about to give up on it but the title track clicked and eventually everything else did after a few more listens :heart2:

25. Lady Gaga - Born This Way

Hztz4Ta.jpg

Quote

Standouts: Bloody Mary, Judas, Heavy Metal Lover

Shocking to think she hasn't released anything worthwhile since 2011 other than, like, a handful of singles :fan: But at least she got it RIGHT with this one. This album didn't really hit me until like two years ago but I can safely say I enjoy every song. Marry The Night is still overrated af tho  she experimented with different sounds and was at her creative peak so I wouldn't be surprised if LG5 or 6 or w/e is the same boring crap she's been putting out lately. Bloody Mary is highkey her best sing :smitten:

24. Mitski - Be The Cowboy

dLXCiHu.jpg

Quote

Standouts: Geyser, Pink In the NIght, Washing Machine Heart

A reverse Masseduction experience with everyone hating this and then switching a week later :toofunny3: I mean she did entirely too much with all the 2m songs but once you get past that, it's a really amazing album. I suppose I was disappointed at first because Geyser was one of my favorite songs of that year and 1) the album didn't sound anything like it, 2) it's still by far the best so my expectations were pretty high going into it. Like... Geyser's outro is just :smitten: Nobody is actually so overrated though, it's really not *that* good :rip: A bop but a couple of the songs outsold. Pink In the Night is sooooo beautiful :smitten: She could have kept A Horse Named Cold Air tho, it sounds like something off of Medulla :toofunny2: the last 3 songs + A Pearl are some of my faves as well :heart2:

23. Fifth Harmony - 7/27

jArIktS.jpg

Quote

Standouts: Work From Home, All In My Head (Flex), Squeeze, Dope

I don't care how generic this is, it's basic pop done right :jonny5: I spammed the **** out of it when it first came out but I was a pretty big 5H stan at the time (dark days). Gonna Get Better was the only one I wasn't a fan of but even that has 60+ plays :rip: the ballads are also at the bottom but they're cute, it's just not exactly what I wanna hear from Fifth Harmony :toofunny3: I'm a Camila hater now but her voice WORKED on these songs when it was just one verse or some adlibs in the final chorus, a full song of her whining is too much :skull: Work From Home is obviously a timeless classic and Squeeze + Dope are hugely underrated. Flex deserved to smash, it grew on me so much :jonny4:

22. St. Vincent - Strange Mercy

AvenOqX.jpg

Quote

Standouts: Strange Mercy, Dilettante, Cruel

The title track omg a discography highlight. This is one of those albums that you have to listen to front to back to fully appreciate, same with Actor. They're both so consistent and all the songs tie in together :heart2: Hoping for an album from her and Björk next year :duca:

21. Carly Rae Jepsen - E•MO•TION

RKNmpbF.jpg

Quote

Standouts: Run Away With Me, Boy Problems, Warm Blood

For some reason this took ages to grow on me :toofunny3: I found it really overrated at first and only used a handful of songs. Over time, all the songs started growing on me and after two years I stanned pretty much everything except Favorite Colour :cm: I generally hate long albums but this one work. Unfortunately for her, she set the bar too high and couldn't follow it up :toofunny3: outside of the songs I mentioned, I also love Gimmie Love, All That, MTMOTN, IDJCHTD, Let's Get Lost, LA and WINY :heart2: Your Type lowkey aged like milk x

Oh wow :jonny5:

Vulnicura has some AMAZING songs and I still have to get into some songs.

Paramore, Aquarius, Masseduction, BTW, Emotion - masterpieces :jonny:

Posted

HMs: All Mirrors, Electric Lady, PRISM, La La Land, ANTI, When the Sun Goes Down :eddie: CollXtion I, Delirium, Cry Baby, Bangerz and reputation could've replaced some stuff that made the main list :gaycat3:

Some of your Melodrama & Paramore opinions KINDA make me wanna throw up but I'm glad those masterpieces are here. Yep DW is still Ari's best, let everyone know. 1989 + Animal are way too low oh WOW! Blurryface is nice, those Weyes/Azealia/Charli albums have some cute moments. Turn Off the Light and Dirty Computer :sats: "This is overhyped by pop fans and overhated by indies." sdfijsdjf this is so accurate though, I noticed this during last year's Best Of... but I had it at #2 on my list and I would likely keep it there if I reranked :fan: Aquarius and MASSEDUCTION :fish1: Born This Way and EMOTION :worship: Yep you're serving a bit so far

ID were always more of a GP group so I think it was easier for them to make a comeback but it's not out of the question :-*

Emotion and Masseduction are great but a little bit overrated by atrl tbh. I think their positions here are pretty accurate.
