So many great choices I don't know where to start :jonny:

Definitely loving to see Aly & AJ, they are killing me with these bops :clap3:

Tove, Allie, Maggie, Charli, Caroline, Carly all very welcomed, but I'm mostly glad to see Nina, especially with the title track of the album :smitten:

No no no :gaycat3: It's just that my albums list is ranked based on the average score I gave each release after rating each track, so all he needed to do was get a higher grade than #57-14.

The chorus of that song it's amazing!!!

One of my favorite songs from this year, Nina really did that with this song!!!!!!!! :jonny2:

The Last Song of Your Life is cute but I wish she ended the album with Circle Game.

Yep Colder is pretty great :jamming: Not in my top 5 from the album but it's quite strong.

Well since Circle Game is one of my least favorites, I'm gonna have to disagree :fan: I feel like TLSOYL is more fitting anyway.

I know She being that low is controversial, whoops :keir: It's just simply not one of my favorites, but it's not bad at all. Sometimes longer songs that have a lot of instrumental can leave me underwhelmed. Don't Feel Like Crying didn't need to be a single and that's THAT.

Keep was a cute closer to an otherwise sort of disappointing album? I don't why I'm so harsh on Ms Hatchie

I think they could've had a shot at getting into my top 40 (maybe even 30?) if I wasn't late to the party :-*

I also don't know why! Wishing you the best

BEST ALBUMS || #12-10

*NOTE: 'Fine Line' would actually be #12 at this point, but I already posted him so oh well :gaycat3: Also for anyone that might

be confused, this album list is ranked based on the average score I gave each release after rating every song.

12. Taylor Swift 'Lover'

Trinity: 1. Cornelia Street • 2. Daylight • 3. Cruel Summer

Bottom 3: 16. ME! • 17. London Boy • 18. It's Nice to Have a Friend
Thoughts~ Well unfortunately this is the first time a Taylor album has missed my top 5 or even 10, but I feel like a

big reason is because my list is a lot more competitive this year and there were just so many amazing releases. As for

the actual album, the tracklist is a little too bloated and not every song feels necessary. Now with that being said,

it is still OVERFLOWING with standouts as well as discography highlights.

11. Hatchie 'Keepsake'

Trinity: 1. Without a Blush • 2. Stay with Me • 3. Unwanted Guest

Bottom 3: 8. Not That Kind  • 9. Kiss the Stars • 10. Her Own Heart
Thoughts~ This is basically Sugar & Spice 2.0 and since that EP was incredible, I have no complaints! I love her sound so much

and how it feels like someone from the '80s/'90s just casually time traveled to present day. Like Lover, it kinda hurts to have

this album miss the top 10 but there's a limited amount of spots to fill.

10. Friendly Fires 'Inflorescent'

Trinity: 1. Silhouettes • 2. Offline • 3. Sleeptalking

Bottom 3: 9. Almost Midnight • 10. Cry Wolf • 11. Heaven Let Me In
Thoughts~ This album is just a big 'ol PARTY! No slow songs allowed bitch. On my 1st and 2nd listens I did feel like several tracks blended

together but along the way that definitely changed, mainly because of how often I had it on repeat. :fan: Just press play & get to dancin' :katie2:

MINI CATEGORIES || PART II

BIGGEST GROWER (SONG)

Caroline Polachek "Hit Me Where It Hurts"

EInWZ_EXUAAReN7.jpg

It's very rare for a song to start out in an album's bottom 3 and then all of a sudden end up in my trinity,

but that's exactly what happened with HMWIH. It wasn't even a long process, either... I'm pretty sure it just

slapped me across the face around the 3rd listen. I also imagine a music video everytime I hear it and let

me say... Caroline, have your people call my people ASAP.

BIGGEST GROWER (ALBUM)

Melanie Martinez 'K-12'

Melanie_Martinez_-_K-12.png

This was definitely one of those situations where incredibly high expectations might've messed with my

initial listen. Cry Baby was excellent (and my #3 album of 2015) so I was beyond ready for what was next. It also

doesn't help that she didn't give us a lead single or promo track, just some previews that I mostly avoided.

With each revisit to the album, my opinion simply improved. I still don't love my bottom 2 (Orange Juice + Principal)

but I'd say there's several tracks that can definitely stand alongside the high points from her debut.

Blame Taylor for making a few messy tracklist decisions :'( At least it's my most played album of the year w/ quite a large lead.

Yeah I wasn't a fan of WIthout Me and Graveyard was just cute. If she had features on anything then I forgot they existed.

BEST ALBUMS || #09-07

09. Foals 'Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 1'

Trinity: 1. In Degrees • 2. Exits • 3. Sunday

Bottom 3: 7. Syrups • 8. Moonlight • 9. Cafe D'Athens
Thoughts~ Just got into Foals this year and they've had some good songs but nothing has
catered to my taste

more than this. They mixed pure rock, full-on bops and a few slower moments & packed them into just 9.25 slots. Yannis

and Co. really came for throats on this one, honestly... okay well Cafe D'Athens is a little dull but everything else is KILLER.

08. MUNA 'Saves the World'

Trinity: 1. Pink Light • 2. Stayaway • 3. Number One Fan

Bottom 3: 8. Taken  • 9. Navy Blue • 10. It's Gonna Be Okay, Baby
Thoughts~ C'MON DEPRESSION BOPS!!! Well actually I'd say the first half fits that description and then the second half

takes quite a hopeful turn. Just like 2017's About U, it's pretty much serve after serve after serve. I would say MUNA has

successfully saved the year and are on a steady course to saving the world. :heart2:

07. Billie Eilish 'WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?'

Trinity: 1. you should see me... • 2. bad guy • 3. my strange addiction

Bottom 3: 10. wish you were gay • 11. all the good girls... • 12. 8
Thoughts~ This album was a heavy top 3 contender for most of the year but unfortunately it got pushed out not too long

ago. I would say her EP is the better release overall but it's almost impossible to deny that this is an incredibly solid

full-length debut. Billie and Finneas killed it once again, and I'm sure this hot streak will not be ending anytime soon.

Billie's album is cute, a little too "alt-pop" for my taste but has some gems. Bad Guy is a bop :jamming:

I feel a bit left out seeing Hatchie on all these lists but I didn't even know she released an album

Lover was... cute, I liked some songs but I can totally see why it's the first Taylord album to miss your top 5 :fan:

HMWIH being a grower for you :clap3: one of my faves :heart2: K-12 kinda grew with the film but eh, I expected more :gaycat4:

8 being underrated as usual :!ohno: wish you were gay is great too :chick1: your top 3 is kinda basic tho :-* MUNA was cute :heart2:

Icy and Nightmare should have been higher but I'll take it :thing: Hey Look Ma I Made It and Want You In My Room are nice x
