I can understand that, since most of them are intense & give you an andrenaline rush. I've only watched around 6 *legitimate* horror movies in my life.  I feel like Ready or Not would be good for you since it's a suspenseful dark comedy.

Yep  Combining my singles & album tracks lists would be a nightmare, honestly. Plus I feel like I had more non-singles on repeat this year in general. Feels Right is unfortunately very underrated.  Maybe it'll hit you one day! Oh wow, one of the few songs?  Well at least there's only 8.

 

Well it was fitting but I feel like it could've been done in a better way  Plus I'm not a fan of gore.

I feel like the song impacted some people's views on the video, honestly  But at the end of the day I'm always a sucker for some great effects, locations, scenery,etc. GHG was really such a close 2nd place.

08. Marriage Story [A-]

The beginning of this is so sweet! Then it throws you into an ugly situation that only gets uglier

as the film goes on, and you can feel the pressure with every passing scene. Some parts are a bit

too long/slow for my liking, but that's one of my few complaints. Features amazing performances

from Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson & Laura Dern. Also... if you haven't seen this but you've

watched the arguing scene that went viral, just know it is much better with context.

 

07. Booksmart [A-]

At its core, Booksmart is another addition to the coming-of-age high school house party comedy

genre, but it does add enough spice to make things more unique. At first I was thinking "I like this but

I already think it's a bit overrated", though after a while those feelings started to change. Then it hit an

emotional moment that really struck me and from that moment on, I was really enjoying it with little

to no complaints. A fun time overall!

 

06. Joker [A-]

For the first time, DC releases 2 great movies in a single year! Joaquin Phoenix really did the damn

thing, whew!!! He has a way of turning what could've been a boring scene into something chilling

and unsettling. His protrayal of Arthur Fleck/Joker is probably my favorite of the year. I will admit that

Phoenix really carries this movie, if they got someone even slightly less qualified then this wouldn't

have been nearly as enjoyable (and maybe even successful.)

 

05. Widows [A-]

The trailers will have you think this is an action movie but it's mainly a drama with plenty of intensity,

even during scenes where people are simply talking. The whoooole entire main cast (around 8 people)

did a great job, I can't say there was a weak one in the bunch. Easily grips you and takes you through

quite a twisty ride. The last quarter of the film is especially satisfying.

A few of us do  lost & are you sure? are amazing and easily the best from that EP, 85% is weak and then the other 2 are just cute.

It needed a tiny bit of growing from me, it's interesting to see how a lot of people respected the song when it came out but now I don't see it on many favorites lists.

Well there's only 12 tracks, 4 were singles, 1 was a single years ago, another was on her 2017 EP so it didn't count - only 6 possible options left  also Basic did made it On Deck.

The Favourite is something  even tho I love Glenn to death, but Olivia win was so deserved and tbh Rachel or Emma should've won BSA too  

JoJo Rabbit brought me to tears tbh  ScarJo is really comes through this year,  too bad all praise she gets only for MS (which is masterpiece), I want double nom for her  

RON was fun, I remember watching it in cinema, but tbh I don't see myself watching it again  
Marriage Story ruined me  I laugh, I cry  what an acting

Well honestly I've never cared about Sky so it doesn't impact me whether she does or doesn't

 

I agree Olivia's win was deserved, plus we would've been robbed of that amazing speech if the results were different. I had to look up who won BSA, I loved Regina King so I can't complain about that one. Maybe it should've been a 3-way tie.  Although I preferred Emma over Rachel.

It was close to doing the same for me, when they showed ****** hanging I was shook, really wasn't expecting that.

Well, I guess I can understand that  Kiii I didn't think Amy was annoying and obviously Molly was but Beanie did a great job at being annoying

I mean it's quite a slow burn  Slow burns can be 50/50 for me but obviously I enjoyed myself

Hmm hmmm hmmmm all very debatable

04. Spider-Man: Far from Home [A-]

A satisfying sequel, on par with Homecoming. Adding in Jake Gyllenhaal is always a great move, he's

amazing to watch as usual. My only major complaint is that the comedy was noticably lacking at times,

but luckily the cast is so lovable that I would enjoy listening to them say basically anything. Some of the

visual effects are the best I've seen from the MCU thus far, that one Mysterio sequence was insane.

Really hoping all the past Sony/Disney mess won't impact the quality of the 3rd film, they need to

keep up this winning streak.

 

 

03. Avengers: Endgame [A]

I had this at #2 for a long time but recently decided to make a last minute switch. Anyway, this is the

only movie I've seen twice in theaters this year. The first hour is good, the second hour is great (and

features some very effective fan service), and then that finale... wow. It's ridiculous how satisfying that last

third was, they really gave me so much of what I wanted. Right now it's also #3 in my MCU ranking,

mainly because it's a few minutes too long & the time travel rules can be confusing.

 

 

02.  Parasite (기생충) [A]

Well this is the first movie I've ever watched that is completely in a different language, and wow...

what a RIDE. I feel like this is one of those things that you should go into with as little information

as possible but I would truly recommend this to anyone that's fine with reading subtitles for 2 hrs.

The way the story progresses is incredible, and it effortlessly blends several different genres

together. Assuming you've already heard many others praise this work of art: BELIEVE THE HYPE.

 

 

01. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse [A+]

I've enjoyed superhero movies for many years but have never cared about animated ones,

especially since most of them are straight-to-DVD. When this was announced, I had no interest.

When the trailers came out, I had no interest. Fast forward to March 2019 and I watched it 3

times in the span of 24 days (which is very rare for me.) Now I would consider it to be my

favorite Spider-Man film, my favorite superhero film and possibly my favorite animated film,

plus it's easily in my overall top 10 as this is only the NINTH time I've given out an A+ grade.

I could spend time praising every single piece of this but the art style, voice acting and

writing are my 3 favorite parts. A MASTERPIECE!

I can understand that, since most of them are intense & give you an andrenaline rush. I've only watched around 6 *legitimate* horror movies in my life.  I feel like Ready or Not would be good for you since it's a suspenseful dark comedy.

Yep  Combining my singles & album tracks lists would be a nightmare, honestly. Plus I feel like I had more non-singles on repeat this year in general. Feels Right is unfortunately very underrated.  Maybe it'll hit you one day! Oh wow, one of the few songs?  Well at least there's only 8.

 

Well it was fitting but I feel like it could've been done in a better way  Plus I'm not a fan of gore.

Well there's lots of movies out there that feel pointless  But I'm fine with that as long as I felt entertained and satisfied by the end of it.

I feel like the song impacted some people's views on the video, honestly  But at the end of the day I'm always a sucker for some great effects, locations, scenery,etc. GHG was really such a close 2nd place.
