REM-EMBERING 2019 ⭐ Finished!

Recommended Posts

A little surprised at P!nk and TDCC losing all their entries already, but I'm okay with it :flower:

ilomilo, The Stage, Cuz I Love You, Watermelon Sugar, and When I Get Out :clap3:I actually still need to listen to Red Hearse.

I need more time for Harry's album to sink in, I definitely liked some songs though.

I don't really care for movies in general tbh but Boy Erased was pretty good. I didn't like Hustlers at all :flower:

I really enjoyed Toy Story 4. The 3 was so sad and I feel like this was more enjoyable to watch and it feels more like a Toy Story movie. I want to see it again :giraffe:

18. Hustlers [B.]

I was hoping for a little more spice to this one, or at least one scene that would really

WOW me. Still a fun time with an enjoyable ensemble cast. J. Lo is definitely the MVP,

I can understand her awards buzz.

17. Rocketnan [B+]

A solid music biopic with Taron Egerton killing it as Elton John. I was consistently

entertained. I do feel like there were a few sequences that felt awkward or rushed,

but most of them were very well done.

14. Toy Story 4 [B+]

As a movie, it's solid. As a Toy Story movie, it is slightly underwhelming after the greatness

we've seen. That being said, you can't really go wrong with this series. If this is finally the

ending, I would say it's a worthy conclusion at the end of the day.

Agree re:Hustlers, and for a film about strippers there wasn't a hole lot of stripping.

Idk RocketNAN what's that? :fan:

Oh boy the #4-6 albums... :flower: I only liked Colder on Nina's album and it's not even top 5 + Betty Who sucks

Carly was a big disappointment but at least No Drug Like Me is your #1 :heart2: Everything He Needs so low, absolutely criminal

Blur (Original) almost top 10 :jonny4: religion, Glad He's Gone and All The Time top 20  SHYHMF is a biT overrated x

Don't Start Now and bad guy narrowly missing the top 20 :emofish: Number One Fan is such a bop :katie2: I only use Talia from KP :oh:

Door almost top 5 ahhhh Remy Ma's indie era is here :jonny2: the actual top 5 tho we- the top 2 are alright but I don't really use em x

and skdjskdjs I HATED Broods' album :toofunny3: I mean Too Proud... abysmal :rip: at least you have Peach and Hospitalized high on the list

Maggie's was cute, Say It as your #1 :smitten: You're cancelled for having Hustlers that low :flower: ilomilo, listen before i go and Wrong Turn :smitten:

I just gotta say that I don't pray but I am surely praying for you! Especially tonight of all nights. :heart2: Not liking Last December & TSWCU,TSWC (Nina), thinking Dedicated was a big disappointment and hating the AOTY... yikes yikes yikes yikes yikes

Well Talia IS still her best :date:

Kiiii I really did serve y'all indie for the first half (sans WTM) and then switched a bit :oh:

Too Proud is something you just gotta get used to :fan: Mainly Caleb's vocals. Well of course! And Peach was #4 on my 2018 singles list :sats:

I've been cancelled endlessly in my lifetime, one more won't hurt!

Yeah the competition was too tough for 'em, oh well :flower:

You definitely do! Especially since it's only 8 tracks so it won't take long.

I've listened to it around 12 times already :gaycat3: It's very solid, although his debut is a bit unbothered.

Oh wow! Yeah I expected more from Hustlers, but still ended up enjoying it (as you saw.)

P!nk's Happy is her best out of H2BH :clap3:

Happy Not Knowing :heart2:

BATB is cute, but nothing's more for me, a bit overrated on ATRL

The Stage :smitten: pop perfection jumped out :clap3:

Films:

TS4 was a bit meh and not needed actually, I think 3rd was the best ending to the story, like..literally ideal for me

Hustlers and JLo acting like...JLo is one of the most overrated things this year :rip:

Boy Erased is great :clap3: Nicole should've get some awards for it :jonny:

Long Shot had AMAZING story to begin with, but it ends up being just cheesy comedy :rip:

tbh I expected much more from CYEFM :michael: Idk, nor the story, nor Melissa acting never really hits me

Blackkklansman is my favorite from this set :clap3:

I do agree TS4 wasn't totally necessary and yeah, 3's ending outsold for sure.

Kiii JLo's performance could've had a little more punch but I think she was pretty solid overall :lakitu:

BEST FILMS || #12-09

[[ Eligibility period: Q4 2018 to 12/13/19 ]]

12. The Favourite [B+]

I hate, and I truly mean hate shows/movies that take place in the 18th and 19th centuries,

they're just not my thing. Luckily The Favourite wasn't a typical period piece and had plenty

of comedy that kept me entertained. The last act was a bit underwhelming though. Anyway -

Olivia Colman, Emma Stone & Rachel Weisz... what a fantastic trio. WHO is doing it like them?

11. Shazam! [B+]

I'm not a DC girl, especially after they tricked me with those incredible Suicide Squad trailers,

but Wonder Woman showed me that they can make a nice movie & Shazam! let me know that

it wasn't a fluke. There are a few questionable moments, but overall it's very loveable and fun.

This could be the start of an amazing franchise for sure.

10. Jojo Rabbit [B+]

Who knew a film about Nazis could be so... wholesome! Just watched this days ago & it was SO

close to getting an A- grade but for some reason it missed the mark. I feel like it could happen after

a rewatch. The main cast kills it, Roman Griffin Davis is insanely adorable and a great lead. Taika

Waititi really did an amazing job, plenty of other directors would've fumbled with this concept.

09. Ready or Not [A-]

Never planned on touching this because as I've said before, I'm not a fan of horror - but luckily

this didn't really fit that genre. In fact, it was quite thrilling and amusing. The plot is very far-fetched,

although the ridiculousness is actually welcomed in this case. The ending was a little too silly &

anticlimatic but luckily it doesn't create too much of a dent since it wasn't a long scene.

I don't know the movies this time, but suspense/horror is one of the few types of movies I can watch :dies: I find other genres too boring and hard to follow
