Pink Matter Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Billie, Lizzo, and Ari NFR IS a wig snatcher of an opener yes and Juice is a damn bop
potent Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Juice Cellophane I was never super into All This Time, but it's really catchy, I can see why it's getting so much love on the countdowns. I looked into Bat for Lashes more because of the Best Ofs and I really like KITD and The Hunger, maybe I should check out her album.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 24, 2019 ATRL Moderator Posted December 24, 2019 Surprised to see lost girls so high on someone’s list. It’s not the best bfl but it’s a bit overhated. Essentials slayyyter and fever are great glad to see them so high.

BlackoutZone Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Great top 20 It’s just When I Die that never really sticked with me, ALMA’s music quickly aged for me, but I still hope she’s coming with a strong album
TheWayWeWere Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 I love Lizzo' personality, but CILY is a bit boring TUN such a serve wtf is this cover tho In My Head and Juice omg I forgot about When I Die her best droplet tbh When I die I hope everyone will still expecting my album to come Cellophane

ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 27, 2019 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 27, 2019 20 -11 20. Emily King - Scenery Such a warm and romantic album with a lovely mix of pop and soulful music. Really my first time listening to Emily King and her album was a pleasant surprise. Faves: Can't Hold Me, 2nd Guess, Caliche 19. Maggie Rogers - Heard It In A Past Life I really loved the writing on this and the theme of change was especially fitting for a January album. Surprisingly high energy and really fun debut from Maggie. Fave: Fallingwater, The Knife, Alaska 18. Rosie Lowe - Yu A lovely rnb album on a woman catching feelings but still holding on to her identity and her strength. A step up from her debut Faves: Birdsong, Mango, Royalty 17. Shura - Forevher Great sophomore album from Shura. hura mixes up her purely 80s synth pop with something more rnb but still distinctly her for her sophomore album. An album on a long distance relationship with warm themes on longing. Faves: The Stage, Control, BKLYNLDN 16. Rico Nasty & Kenny Beats - Anger Management I like how it starts out so loud and explosive and as the mixtape goes on, the tracks are less and less aggressive which is fitting with the title. Rico and Kenny work so well together. Faves: Cheat Code, Sell Out, Big Titties 15. Faye Webster - Atlanta Millionaires Club Ignoring the gross cover, I loved this album a lot. Generally on heartbreak with some really funny lyrics.I love how she melds various genres on this for a pretty cohesive album Faves: Pigeon, Kingston, Flowers 14. Jay Som - Anak Ko The melodies and production on this are so addicting. Outsold her debut easily for me. Faves: Superbike, Devotion, Tenderness 13. Marika Hackman - Any Human Friend Really catchy and fun with some great writing as well. Marika is a very open writer and there's so much personality in this album. Lesbians stay slaying me in 2019 Faves: the one, hold on, any human friend 12. Ari Lennox - Shea Butter Baby Gorgeous voice, really great production and lyrics. Something hilarious and really open about her writing and her strong emotive voice makes this stand out Faves: Static, New Apartment, Shea Butter Baby 11. Jenny Lewis - On The Line big boobs?... what?.. um chile anyways so Jenny Lewis is a great storyteller and the songs on her relationship with her mom are some of the strongest on this. Faves: Wasted Youth, Red Bull & Hennessy, On The Line
ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 27, 2019 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 27, 2019 10 - 6 10. Normani - Motivation What a solo lead from Normani. The release was one of the few exciting ones this year in terms of singles and was such an instant banger. I do think Waves deserves the attention but I'm so proud of the song and how Normani takes an Ariana reject and makes it all hers. 2020 will be exciting for Normani for sure 9. Snoh Aalegra - You Definitely my favorite song from Snoh's second era. What a gorgeous ballad. From the lovely production to the melodramatic lyrics. I can listen to this endlessly. The purple border in the video to the sick guitar reminds me of Prince who was actually Snoh's mentor for a bit. 8. Rico Nasty - Sandy Definitely my favorite Rico single this year. The stan twitter memes video works so well with the hectic production and ridiculous lyrics. Such a banger. More proof that Rico/ Kenny Beats are a dream team duo. 7. Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now Dua Lipa warned us that her next album will be all things disco and thanks to Electricity/ One Kiss that got me so hyped. The lead single Don't Start Now is everything and more. Such an addicting lead. Dua2 will definitely be a serve after this and Future Nostalgaga. Don't hold me to that though 6. Carly Rae Jespen - Real Love I've just decided this is my favorite song from Carly Rae Jepsen and my favorite non-single song this year. It has such a gorgeous build up and the lyrics are such an earnest serve. I'll save my top 5 singles and top 10 albums for maybe tomorrow x

potent Posted December 27, 2019 Posted December 27, 2019 Forevher is amazing What I've heard of Maggie so far is too bland for me, I'll keep trying though. Don't Start Now is a bop, I'm kinda surprised everyone is placing it so high though
Remmy Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 Heard it In a Past Life and forevher + Alaska, the stage, BKLYNLDN YUP we love those absolutely for sure 100% yes!
