No shade, but these numbers are tragic for a artist like Beyonce. She should be able to sell way more.

Yet her movie is getting more money than Madonna, Gaga, Britney and Jlo movies combined.

No one other than the Hive, is seeing The Lion King for Beyonce's voice. People are going for the classic Disney movie. Don't be delusional.

Nobody is seeing the movie because of any one of the actors doing the voices but they are still a part of this giant success and gettin' big paying checks, what about it!? When all is said and done Beyoncé will have this on her resumee, iconic.

As if 'The Gift' will last any longer. :ahh:

'The Gift' Spotify Daily Streams (Week 1):

Day 2: 6,883,700 (-45%)

Day 3: 5,242,300 (-31%)

Day 4: 5,970,000 (+12%)

Day 5: 5,354,000 (-12%)

Day 6: 4,920,000 (-9%)

Day 7: 4,522,000 (-9%)

Its only increase being on day 4 after the Sunday drop, which is something every song experiences. :ahh:

The plummeting even with film exposure :ahh:

Why not? Homecoming is still charting and it opened with less SPS.

I'm so surprised at the pure sales, but at least she ranked #2. Everyone's scared it'll come at third, or worse, 4th.

MJaybe it'll have legs, we'll see.

Damn ma, where the hive at to support Bey? They like to put up a fight on social media, but when it comes to buying/streaming her music...

The mess in this topic :deadbanana2:

1. This is a Beyonce album. Being a side project doesn't change that, although a soundtrack to one of the biggest movies of the year and decade isn't very "side" especially when Beyonce gave interviews and stuff, something she didn't even do for her previous 2 albums.

2. That doesn't mean that it ruins her record, because her record is for Studio albums, although I get the confusion, considering Bey wanted to take all the credit (TLK: The Gift by Beyonce) it kind of is a studio album, but still it's attached to another project.

3. If it went number 1 it would still be Beyonce's 7th number 1 album, because duh - it's her album. But not going number 1 doesn't mean it ruins her number 1 streak. It's not a Beyonce studio album, it's a Beyonce Lion King album.

4. With all of that said it's still an underperformance for sure.

I am really confused about why the album came out as "by Beyonce" and now suddenly I see "Beyonce and Various artists"... ? I get that this is how UK charts credited it, but the album still came out as a Beyonce album, how did that suddenly change? :skull:

54k is bad, but everything is relative y'all. I mean y'all dragged Ed for doing 180k last week and now Bey does 54k (with a soundtrack with messy rollout). If Ed did only 180k (which I actually think is good, but yeah) we should've been prepared for Bey to do 100k max.

Next Taylor Swift will be doing 400k (this is not a real prediction, just an example) which would be a huge downgrade for her...

So yeah the music industry is rapidly changing every single year since streaming came out on the scene. Expect unexpected flops and unexpected smashes is my point. ASIB was an anomaly for sure (not that this makes it any less of a Gaga success, I mean 21 was an anomaly too so yeah).

Next Rihanna could bomb (or overperform), just like how nobody expected Bey to smash in 2013 with ST.  And Taylor could flop or underperform severely.

People dragged Joanne's 200k first week, yet that's one of the highest first weeks (no bundles) by a pop girl since then (Only Taylor Swift did more :skull: ).

Won't be surprised if we see debuts of actual studio albums with the same numbers as The Gift in the next 12 months :skull:  (Not Gaga tho, you can bookmark this :eli:

Anyone pretending to not understand how EIL & The Gift don’t count towards her streak are just being obtuse for no reason.

It's really incredible. And somehow outlining that specific difference means you don't claim the album. :priceless:

I never said it wasn't a soundtrack album. It's a soundtrack album by Beyonce.

Yes. Soundtracks and compilations are not studio albums. Whether they are under the name of the artist or otherwise.

If she had a record for making all her albums go #1, then yes but that's not what her record is. She specifically has a record about making all her studio solo records go #1 on the charts. A soundtrack/compilation is not a studio album, hence it charting in a total different chart in some countries like the UK.

I mean just get your Kiis at the pure sales, it is largely enough.

The Gift is still a Beyoncé's album and a damn good one.

I am living for the mess that the Hive is. Switching sides left to right and back again. When it seems to be a success, it is all Bey, when it flops it is a side project, or not even her album :bibliahh:The hyping you all did for the new Beyonce movie and a new Beyonce album that was sure to be a hit because, you know, it is a soundtrack, but now you all acting as if The Gift was created by somebody else ( i mean it probably was, Bey cant write for shiz, that is known ), but when she was added to the Ed song that went number one, not even because of her, it was her number 1 :bibliahh:The hypocrisy, the desperation, the meltdowns, i am living :bibliahh:

Not bad for Beyonce considering she was predicted to debut at #3/#4. We got that the soundtrack won't be success but it ain't even a soundtrack if we are honest. She, however, should come with a strong lead single next time. Yeah i know quick little singles are not her thing but she needs one. It has been a long time with no hits

Gosh, at least I'm glad this is somehow entertaining to the pressed and social outcasts Gaga stans :rip:

I, and many beyhives I know, are very tired of her, her tactics, ignorance and many many more things. She is losing a lot of her fans

The Hive was never a fanbase.

It was an agenda

And now that agenda is bigger than Bey,

they've abandoned the damaged Trojan Horse
