Kelp Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Song 33: Not that bad but just very same-y and as the last song it’s very underwhelming
Kelp Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Overall for the first half I was like what the **** do you guys listen to, but the last set of songs really redeemed it for me
Kim Kardashian Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Every single response bar one to my song being negative.
Speezy Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 S12: Very cliché a mix of my fave x Lady Gaga x Hilary Duff . Would work well for an opening for a Hallmark movie S13: Wait a minute the this snaps a bit. The beat is a bit too fast for my taste but the verses are good
Speezy Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 S14: Very mellow I love the instrumentals and lyrics tbh S15: With songs like these no wonder you cant chart
Speezy Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 S16: The voice did not work with this beat. The chorus was good though S17: 17 songs in and im lowkey tired of these pop/house tunes. This one is different, I love the vocals on this foreign bop
Speezy Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 S18: Wow lemme tell you I ended up listening to this on repeat, I was off browsing the web acting like this was a song in my playlist and forgot to write a critic. I like it S19: This is very Britney-esque, its unique and different tbh
Speezy Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 S20: If hotdog water was song S21: I was looking for something urbanish/R&B-esque cause those pop songs were draining. Now this song is very good. It does fall empty in climax during the chorus
rl231 Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 1. Well...unexpected to say the least. I love that they made a Nine Inch Nails cover catchy 2. I actually really liked this a surprising amount. 3. The production is SUPER weird, and I'm not talking about the breakdown in the chorus - that's fine. It's more of the vocal production and how this guy's vocals were barely present. 4. Hmmmm not bad, not bad. 5. I heard her other song, but this is also good too, maybe a wee bit short though. 6. So, two things: 1) This is a cover of someone that wouldn't be able to be in the round (and is probably banned) and 2) WTF is the production .
rl231 Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 7. All over the place but also really good????????? 8. AHHHHHHHH NOPE. 9. And still nope. 10. She's great, thank you for curing the (brief) drought. 11. I haven't listened to her in AGES, but she's one of the most attractive people, probably ever. The song's solid but not her best IMO. 12. It's like a crappier Madonna.
rl231 Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 13. Me: don't say it don't say it don't say it don't say it don't say it don't say it don't say it Me: STAN L------------ Nope, not a fan, sorry.
Lucky#17 Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Spoiler Song1: This was to be expected. Smart pick; I think it’ll rank relatively high. Song2: I really enjoyed this, especially her tone! Song3: The way the vocal was mixed/mastered with the production was quite jarring; it made the song hard to listen to. The production itself isn’t great either. Song4: I didn’t get much of an impression from the song until the last 30seconds. I’m glad it progressed, but I doubt I liked it enough where it’ll get points from me. Song5: For such dramatic production, I was let down by the lyrics. Song6: The progression in production was exciting to hear, but I wasn’t feeling the vocals and the lyrics much. Song7: The time length of the song worried me at first, but the song ended up being real easy to listen to. Her tone and her chilled vocal approach mixed with this production is fantastic. I’m gonna have to save this come wintertime. Song8: I like how you went for something different — it stands out from the past seven songs for sure. I’m just not sure if I liked it. Song9: I have no idea what she’s singing, but the production had me hooked from the second the song started, and that just might be enough to get a point or two from me, depending on how the forthcoming songs compare. Song10: Her voice works with the production on the chorus really, really well. This isn’t something I’d listen to on my own, but I’m hoping it ranks well enough for you. Song11: Eh, I’m not a fan. Song12: Errr, I won’t sugarcoat, this was quite boring. Song13: Everything about the song came off as juvenile to the ears. Song14: This came off quite juvenile as well. Song15: Aw, this was nice and charming. I don’t foresee myself giving it points, but it’s definitely a step up from the last few tracks. Song16: Wasn’t feeling this one, either. Song17: The production wasn’t bad, but the vocals didn’t leave any sort of impression on me. Song18: Her voice works super, super well with this track. Song19: I loved this from the second the beat hit. I still don’t know what she’s saying in some of these lines (yes, I’m aware it’s in English, I’m referring to the vocal approach) but **** I don’t even care. Song20: This is Lennon Stella? Funnily enough, I initially wanted to submit a Nashville song. This is nice and light! Song21: Just like Song4, I didn’t particularly enjoy the song until the outro came through. This won’t be getting points from me, but I do hope it gets you through to the next round. Song22: Strong song! That piano pattern in the intro/hook becomes addicting quickly, and the simplicity of the chorus (vocally) — smart picking something catchy. Song23: Hm, it’s interesting production-wise, but it’s not for me. Song24: Is “lettuce” in one of these lines? I’m gonna pass, but the production in the chorus/post-chorus is awesome. Song25: Better than most of these Pop-Dance hybrid songs. I’m not sure if this’ll get points from me, but I see this song fairing well. Song26: Real smart entry. Likely getting points from me. Song27: This was a breath of fresh air in contrast to many songs sent in this round. With that being said, I’m not sure if I’d seek this out on my own, so I don’t think it’d get points from me — but thanks for something different! Song28: Unlike most songs, the chorus turned me off a little bit. She held those verses down though. Song29: This is nice! I’m not sure if I’ll end up giving it points, but I’m tempted. Song30: Who is this? I’m not crazy over this one (still liked it a lot), but I feel like I would like other music from them. I’d give it a shot. Song31: I like the production, but I’m not a fan of the vocals/lyrics. Song32: The outro really gave this song a punch. The production throughout the track is great! Song33: Nice way to close off the round! I could see it getting a point or two from me. Last round was much better, in my opinion. It felt like I listened to the same Pop-Dance track seven times here, God.
bestfiction Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Song 19: I like it, it's sensual and I feel that the singer is French
K$Ellie Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Song 1: I kinda stan but this was predictable and it may not end up in my top 10 if the round is v strong
K$Ellie Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 (edited) Song 2: it's not bad but it doesn't really go anywhere. Like it's cute enough to not be at the bottom but considering it's only the top 10 that matters I don't see this making the cut edit: ugh I kinda switched, this is a a bop Edited June 21, 2019 by K$Ellie
K$Ellie Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Song 3: what kind of dated mess everything about this screams 2012 and not in a good way, awful vocals too
K$Ellie Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 (edited) Song 5: a stanning today Edited June 21, 2019 by K$Ellie
K$Ellie Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Song 6: not only is it incredibly dated but it's a dreadful cover of an already amazing song x
K$Ellie Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Song 7: how do I decide between this and Song 5 for my #1
