I was feeling a little disheartened after Fantasy but y’all turned it the **** out. I love every picture from first to last. Ranking was extremely difficult and my mind kept changing over and over. I am glad we are only losing one person this round, and even then, sad someone has to go. beatinglikeadrum - Anja Rubik // loving the angular nature of this shot. really interesting headpiece/coat. love the hard and soft contrast of the two things i just mentioned. anja herself though feels a little broken which i don’t love. Invisibility - Ayumi Hamasaki // intriguing shot. a little bland on the side of contrast but works for the somewhat mysterious atmosphere. i read a really interesting story in this picture. Psycho - Cara Delevigne // nice. really intense face from cara. everything around her kinda blends together with the mishmash of patterns in greyscale but puts the focus on the interesting hand posture and cigarette, both a blessing and a curse. Not Like The Movies - Duckie Thot // really strong contrast which makes your photo REALLY pop. the bright white clothes on her gorgeous skin are so lovely to look at. the white stripe on the left on the black and grey background helping to keep interesting notes but without overpowering the models. Jaye - Ezra Miller // love how ezra is both blending in and standing out. tulle makes for some really cool effects over ezra. feel like he’s a gargoyle in the garden... which is a good thing Overprotected - Florence Welch // florence looks great, a little like celine dion here which i found interesting. really cool triangular shape that leads the eye up to her face. overall, a little on the boring side, but nice to look at. rooby.booby - Gigi Hadid // texture of the denim is such a GREAT element in this shot that nobody else really went for. she contrasts super well against the background and the whole image is pretty crisp and nice to look at. could fare to be a bit more ~interesting~, but great execution of visual “pleasure” without colour kipperskipper - Jennie Kim // jennie looks great. i love the lines in the shot from the chair and the shot all angling in th same direction towards the bottom right. that said, it could have more going for it. its a little too soft and same-y throughout and doesn’t make much of a statement or dare to stand out. Noah - Jennifer Lawrence // oooooooh, bitch! sexy, chic, interesting and benefits from being in black and white. very cool and dramatic. reminds me a lot of the Showgirls poster which i think is a very big positive. respond very well to this, super great shot. Nurr - Jolin Tsai // love jolin’s face in this and the styling is wonderful. particularly enjoy the big hat and the way she is interacting with it. my problem is i feel like it doesnt benefit from being in black and white at all as everything kinda blends together whereas in colour the layers of clothing and skin would be more interesting. Thanatos - Kate Moss // interesting story in this shot which is my favourite part. feels like a private moment caught on camera. the movement throughout the shot is a bit all over the place and the elements don’t mesh very well. i think kate looks great and i love the different items that tell the tale, but it could feel a bit smoother. KatyCatPH - Katy Perry // really interesting shot, serving me sex galore. the knit on the sweater is lovely to look at in black and white, and the contrast on the dark skirt, heels, hair, and background with her face really drag the eye right there, which is great. love the light manipulation making her look like she's glowing. super cool Moonlightbae - Kendall Jenner // not 100% sold on this shot. love the connection of her in the natural amongst the set. the necklace being the only thing she's wearing is a cute touch. however, the lighting is doing nothing for kendall's face and she isn't really giving me much face either. the photo as a whole is also giving me "blah". Girlicious - Kim Petras // what a cool coat dress! the angular shape of it plus the fact that it is the one super dark element in the shot is super interesting to look at. it really makes for an interesting, commanding photo. the lighting and shadow work is also lovely to look at. PinkBox - Madonna // classique. the black bars make for an interesting element, almost literally targeting the black and white idea. the shot is so risque but also powerful and dramatic. i don't have a lot to say other than "yes, duh", but it's all praise. Sabbath - Magdalena Frackowiak // what a delicious shot. thematically it's fairly interesting, but i'm far more interested in the spectacular lighting and the complete serve of face and pose magdalena is giving. i love a shot with a clear story and she is SELLINGGG it. then on top of that, the X's that the bars over the light source creates are just.. *chef's kiss* Touch It - Naomi Campbell // simple, but plays so well with the light and dark you get to utilize when in grayscale. love love love the shape of the harness and her hair and the wrap. the slight sparkle of the earring is interesting and keeps it from just being a solid black blob. the way her nipples just Pop is actually lovely. this photo is visually interesting in a great way. prézli - Pixie Lott // simple and sweet.. but next to all of the rest of these photos, lacking in flavour. i like the contrast of the black collar and the photo is fairly clean and crisp but... it just doesn't do a hell of a lot else. EriKills - Rihanna // loved this photoshoot. rihanna looks so alien here with how long her neck looks and the effect of the makeup, hair styling, and lighting which is so cool. enjoy the contrast as well, kinda giving me those edited twit pics of whitewashed rihanna though asdfdfhasdf. Loyalty - Selena Gomez // a solid choice. love the angularity of her body a lot. she definitely created some interesting visuals with her limbs all tangled like that. the dark hair is really interesting as well. it is a tad bland, but a good shot nonetheless. Buljangnan - Soo Joo Park // i could stare at this all day long. this is just unbelievably incredible. easily one of my favourite submissions in all three seasons of this game. benefits highly from the black and white and helps give it that ghostly, ethereal look. the texture on the different layers in the gown? coat? is just splendid to look at. the look on soo joo's face is perfect. the photo manipulation giving her a bit of a blurry effect and the look of the background. i really could just keep talking about this. fan ****ing tastic.
