" - Catriona Gray SPRING + FALL Out of all 4 seasons, I chose Spring and Fall looks from Catriona that shows her journey from her humble beginnings as a model struggling in the Philippines to her reaching the impeccable dream of becoming the 2018 Miss Universe now based in New York City. The "BLACK" Spring Look = Years before she won the pageant crown The "WHITE" Fall Look = Weeks after she won the pageant crown The two looks are witnesses to the vast development in her life and a testament that dreams do really come true. SPRING The Spring look came from Catriona's first ever "self-produced" fashion editorial as a struggling model in the Philippines. The impulse to undertake this project came from her desire to go beyond the usual outfit post as a fashion blogger and from the desire to be more than just a “model”. She wanted to be a creative behind the shoot; to be involved in what goes on behind in the camera instead of only being in front of it. FALL The Fall look came from one of Catriona's first exposures after winning the much coveted crown in Miss Universe. Her life took a 360 degrees turn as she got to be based in New York as part of her duties in winning the crown. She can be seen working the streets of the concrete jungle like the model that she is, Catriona donned a pristine white ensemble by Son Jung Wan. She complemented her look with a camel Zara coat and a sparkling Christian Louboutin pumps. SPRING Inspired by a traditional spanish theme, her mood board for this self produced shoot was filled with images of señoritas, dramatic shadows, flowers and sun kissed architectures. FALL Queen of the Philippines was photographed by Gotham for Gerry Images while walking the streets of her new residence. Since she’ll be attending the New York Fashion show, Catriona remarkably pulled-off one of the designer’s creations. This was Catriona's look as she attended the Son Jung Wan Show in NYC for NYFW 2019. SPRING This village in the Philippines is usually not regarded as a breathtaking place in their hometown but with Catriona being a great visionary, she made it more beautiful and realistically vintage. I think she really has an eye for everything.
