MingYouToo Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 this is so inaccurate. tbh, having Rihanna be a bigger seller than Mariah (i know Rih's single sales is legendary) is kinda.... like, why do they weigh '1 single sale = 1 album sale'...
Vincenzo2000 Posted March 27, 2017 Author Posted March 27, 2017 BBC NEWS is is very accurate and precise ;) I don't think that tells lies

Billboard already explained that Rih is the second best selling female artist of all time and BBC are usually extremly relevant and use receipt so it's the truth
KTLe Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 No tea no shade but since when has Rihanna has sold 200 million albums?

filmman Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 (edited) This was posted in old atrl. And the receipt used by that radio show is wikipedia. The thread will be closed Edited March 27, 2017 by Travis Bickle
lonnie Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 (edited) Whew, Rihanna is a legend. And BBC>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.......>>>>>>>>>> random pop fans on the internet so she wins Edited March 27, 2017 by lonnie
Cloröx Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Quote 420 million records sold 200 million albums sold Best Selling Album - 200 million albums sold Best Selling Single - 20 million tracks sold Obviously something wrong that numbers. I can accept the ranking but that numbers tho
AlexStexaul Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Lady Gaga outsold beyonce , britney , katy and adele only in 9 years! Gg Queen <3

Comparing Rihanna's smash single sales and Mariah's smash album sales is like comparing a Honda Civic and a Hummer. one is clearly bigger than the other. like WFL's 11M WW sales<<<<<Emotions 8M WW sales

There is exactly the same problem for the new gen that sell 0 album 0 single and is full stream. Edited March 27, 2017 by Emperor

Can't_M!ss_This Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Total records sold is cool but I think we often overlook album sales. Having people buy complete sets of work, oftentimes 13 songs when only 1-4 are hits, says a lot more than selling singles. Especially if you're going to weigh a single sale the same as an album. And since when is the BBC an authority on sales?
