I finally saw "Get Out" for the very first time this week when I bought it at Walmart, and fell in love with it. Is it the best horror film of the 2010's or the most overrated horror film of the 2010's?

Overrated as hell. The movie feels like a short-movie on YouTube but not really a short movie because it's long.

The Conjuring >>>

Anything by Jordan Peele is overrated.

Why are these the only two options? Neither. I don't deal in extreme binaries.

Overrated. Hereditary is the one that I like the most of the ones I remember.

So is Get Out.  That concept has been used in a lot of horror movies but Peele went with the racism arc.

It's not a bad movie though.  I enjoyed it, but these are my top 3 in the recent years :

1.  A Quiet Place

2.  Hereditary

3.  It

I liked it, but I could’t take it seriously/be scared, like it was kinda campy. :skull:

I watched it this week for the first time as well. the storyline and plot were great. But when I think of horror I think of being scared & suspenseful & this movie didnt make me feel scared. I truly think the Conjuring is the scariest movie I think i have ever seen (IMO). Granted it was the first rated R movie I was legally allowed to see. I had just turned 17 when it came out. A bunch of friends and I went to go see it & I will never forget the suspense & terror I felt during the whole movie and the audience gasps and screams. Maybe that's why it's the scariest to me bc the setting of which I saw it. I usually watch it once or twice a year. Saw someone mention a A Quiet Place. I haven't seen it yet, but actually plan on watching it this week. I hope it's good.
