From the black antler crown, to the devious, up to no good smirk on her face, and the blackwhite filter adding to theme of darkness. she about to hunt down the fat fairies and twink princesses that dare to roam in ha forest. CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: Tinashe - 9: Whale, this was a breath of fresh air from the rest of the entries. I think it was only like less than 5 people who did the "dark" aspect of the theme. This was a risk that paid off, there is no abundance of nature stuff but the headdress and her pose is really strong that it gives me "Maleficent" teas. Risk paid off Speezy: EriKills – Tinashe – 4 : Okay the outfit was decent but it did not sell your story. The crown is the only thing Tinashe got going for her. This is plain. A good antifairy/ dark fantasy look would’ve been the Joyride Album cover Sabbath: EriKills - Tinashe - 8: I will say that your explanation helped a lot. It’s definitely not selling a story but a concept with the “Dark Witch of the Forest (but make it fashion)”, and while the parenthesis was probably just a joke, to me is what makes it make sense, a fashion forward approach to the challenge instead of just the usual straightforwardness of sending something fairytale-esque. I love it, I love when the interpretation is in a “fashion approach” (like when Rihanna did it during the Deadly Sins challenge). I feel like I gave this way more thought that expected but whatever! Pressure - EriKills 6.5/10 this is cool...I would of wish it was a full body picture with more a background it just looks like her wearing an epic looking hat. Good shot but not as great as the other entrys. Clueless: EriKills - 8: I like this. I definitely understand your point of view with this choice. I appreciate how it's a little rough around the edges, but still picturesque in a way. gotintoririfever1: Erikills- 5 - Ummmm A No No. Guero - Ariana Grande Spoiler CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: Guero - 8: I love that it gives me a modern take on Alice in Wonderland tbh. Ari in Wonderland But I feel like the background is stealing her thunder in this photo though. Speezy: Guero - Ariana Grande – 6: You could’ve nailed this round but the Nature and extras overshadow the person(Ariana). It should be a good balance but this seem more focused on everything but Ariana. Theres really no outfit to see but this does hit the Fairytale theme a tad bit with the background and the flower ponytail holder. Sabbath: Guero - Ariana Grande - 5: To me, this is your worst entry so far. If the theme was “nature” then sure it fits perfectly, but I don’t get “ethereal”, or “fairytale” or fantasy or fashion or picturesque or literally anything. Just because she’s outdoors, it’s not a fairytale aesthetic. I feel like a description could’ve really helped you. Pressure - Guero 7/10 this is pretty cool. Tho feel like there is a little too much going but I still love it. Clueless: Guero - 9: I've never seen this shot of her before, and I reallly love it. I'm definitely getting the fantasy vibe with the background. I think her styling (hair and makeup) could've been a little better to fit with the background, but I'm not mad. gotintoririfever1: Guero - 6 - Ariana sweaty. The background is cool but what was she supposed to represent? Bust down thumbelina. KatyCatPH - Taylor Swift Spoiler CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: KatyCatPH - 8.5: This is gorgeous! Her look is giving me damsel in distress trying to escape her wicked witch stepmom. Speezy: KatyCatPH - Taylor Swift – 7.5: It does serve a garden maze fairytale Warholian experience. I love the outfit and the petals. This does serve a little basic though Sabbath: KatyCatPH - Taylor Swift - 8: I think the outfit helps sell it ‘cause it does look kinda like a princess. Also the editing of the pic gives it that wonderland appeal and helps tie everything together. Pressure - KatyCatPH 8/10 this is gerogous.mp3 photo here. The dress is really cute and I love the photo edit here..she is like a little flower princess Clueless: KatyCatPH - 7: This is cute and safe for the challenge. It's not really super ~fantasy-like, but it's definitely a whimsical photo. gotintoririfever1: KatyCatPH- 5.5 - Cute. Love taylor. Beautiful and pretty gown. kiiwii - Katy Perry Spoiler CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: kiiwii - 8: This is also in the same realm with Taylor for me. It is so picturesque and I love the colors. Prism is really that bitch huh? Speezy: kiiwii - Katy Perry – 8.5: Whew the PRISON SEEDS GREW . I love the butterflies and the flowers and the focus on everything. The downside is her outfit, its kinda plain-Jane but it does work with the earthliness of the shot Sabbath: kiiwii - Katy Perry - 5: Same problem I had with Ariana’s. I don’t get the fairytale or fantasy or ethereal, and would suit a “nature” round better. It is a beautiful picture, yes, but that doesn’t make it ~ethereal. The clothing doesn’t make me believe like she’s a princess or she’s in wonderland or anything really, so a description on why you chose this or a backstory could’ve helped me see where you’re coming from. Pressure - kiiwii 9/10 yesss great picture ♡ I love the butterflies. Clueless: kiiwii - 8: Like KatyCatPH's choice for Taylor, this is cute and safe. I do like this a little more since it's a bit more polished and almost unnaturally picturesque and beautiful. gotintoririfever1: kiiwii- 8.5 - The ethereal live singing pop icon jumpedT out. LOVE the whole photoshoot, strong entry. PoKiTaurus - Mariah Carey Spoiler CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: PokiTaurus -8: I'm not a big fan of this shot. She looked too skinny that I find it to be a bit awkward Great thing she has the background to be so fantasy/fairy tale-ish. Speezy: PoKiTaurus - Mariah Carey – 7: Definetly touches the fairytale look. I am yelling at the Unicorn though. The outfit is simple but good. This almost suffers from the cluttered background syndrome like Ariana’s entry . Sabbath: PoKiTaurus - Mariah Carey - 8: Lachapelle photoshoots are perfect for this theme so I’m glad someone went for it (or more like, had the right photo to do so). You can clearly see the fantasy imagery here and it’s a good picture. I wish the outfit was different ‘cause it kinda ruins the illusion for me, but still it’s a strong entry. Well done. Pressure - PoKiTaurus 10/10 yesssss! This photo is probably the most fantasy here. I mean a unicorn. That gave you the high points right there. Clueless: PoKiTaurus - 6: Serving kids storybook. Kinda TOO cheesy for my taste. gotintoririfever1: PokiTaurus - 7 - Its campy and vibrant. Very typical Mariah love and light fantasy wonderland. Love it. Solarie - Avril Lavigne Spoiler CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: Solarie - 10: A major rebound from last week I must say. I love that dark twist in this photo. She gives me a vibe that she is a deceptive villain in a fairy tale. Speezy: Solarie - Avril Lavigne - 9: Very dark fairytale-esque. The route Tinashe could’ve went . I do love the lavender haze and the spiked gates. The ruffled dress and floral headpiece heightens the look. Sabbath: Solarie - Avril Lavigne - 9: She looks like the villain of the story since everything in the photo is so moody. I like the colors and the set, the outfit, the lighting, the EXPRESSION AHH. It really tells a story without you having to write a word. Pressure - Solarie 8/10 yes her perfume era ♡ I love her dress and this photo, the colour. But we all know by now avril can't do us wrong Clueless: Solarie - 10: This is like exactly what the challenge is asking for. This is that ~dark fantasy~ side of the challenge personified. gotintoririfever1: Solarie - 5 - LOVE Avril but this entry is aight. Very lukewarm per say, AL6 teas thecptz - Kacey Musgraves Spoiler (click at the picture for full size xoxo) CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: thecptz - 10: You nailed it. The pose, the styling, the colors is ethereal and fairytale-ish. Is this the phoenix rising from the ashes moment of Miss Baby Z? Speezy: thecptz - Kacey Musgraves – 10: Wow this is real stellar. The outfit is gorgeous and the rainbow adds to the fairy-esque theme. The background is lit enough to see. Sabbath: thecptz - Kacey Musgraves - 8: Baby z, you were sad for doing bad the past rounds but look at you now! This is very pretty, whoever designed the set and the lighting did a great job ‘cause it does give the vibe the challenge was looking for. Pressure - thecptz 10/10 omg I love the whole theme of this picture. The outfit, background, style. ♡ sis you slayed me Clueless: thecptz - 10: Utopia after dark. I love you Miss Bawdee but this ain't IT. Sabbath: Bawdee - Rihanna - 5 : A very underwhelming entry. Again, if this was a nature challenge it could’ve scored better, but even then, she’s just laying there and there’s nothing very interesting about it. There’s nothing fantasy or ethereal going on that would make me believe this comes from a fairytale book. Rihanna herself is a Goddess, I will not debate that, but this shot is a very big miss for me ‘cause there’s absolutely no magic. Element: Bawdee - 8.5 - This is a good entry but isn’t like AMAZING. There is nature and there is sumptuous color. It just doesn’t have a fairytale specific vibe for me, but it’s one of the stronger entries this round. Pressure - Bawdee 10/10 I love the colours and this photo ♡ really perfect Clueless: Bawdee - 5: She's just laying in some roses. I see where you're coming from, but I think you could've done more with this entry. gotintoririfever1: Bawdee - 9.5 - One of my favorite Rihanna photoshoots of all time. Riri came to SERVE. A LITERAL GODDESS. Boys - Britney Spears Spoiler CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: Boys - 10: You and Mimi are the tinkerbells of this round and I feel that you did a better job than her. I LOVE THIS SHOT SO MUCH! Sabbath: Boys - Britney Spears - 9.5 : I hate the flares so much. Now that that’s out of the way, WHEW. Absolutely. This entry is fantastic and probably my favorite of yours so far. You can definitely see the fantasy going on and the outfit makes her look like she’s some sort of fairy. Tinkerbell eat your heart out. Element: Boys - 10.0 - She did what she had to do! This really has all the qualities that I am looking for. Her outfit has a bit of this woodland fairy vibe, diverse colors and flowers, and there’s a distinct blur/glow to add that ethereal quality. Plus some motion in her pose. Ugh, great choice! Pressure - Boys 9.5/10 wow this is one of my favourite Britney photos and is my fave entry by you so far. Great colours and it all goes very well Clueless: Boys: - 8: My Vocaroo sister... this is great. It's giving me sexy Greek storybook nymph. Like she's lowkey 700 years old, but she doesn't look a day over 18. gotintoririfever1: Boys - 9 - Love the outfit, lighting and background. The aesthetic for this photo whew. BRITNEY CAME TO DESTROY. Not Like The Movies - Janelle Monae Spoiler Ethereal Fantasy. The theme was to represent nature, gorgeous fashion and picturesque setting. Janelle serves as a beacon of light and incandescence. She is bringing life with her bright presence to this bleak and desolate building which seems to be abandoned and is being taking over by nature. Her dress also gives the imagery of flowers with the material used. She is doing this effortlessly in an Ethereal aspect. The picture is definitely telling a story which depicts the fairytale motif. CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: Not Like The Movies - 8.5: I'm a fan of your explanations tbh, you truly made me believe that she's an ethereal princess than Big Bird from Sesame Street. Kudos! Sabbath: Not Like the Movies - Janelle Monae - 8.5: Hmmmm, this was a tough one, if I’m honest, but I like it. Yes, it has the, let’s call them “key elements” (the nature, fashion) and while to me it’s not _that_ ethereal or fantasy-like, the dress and the expression in this particular setting DOES make the photo very picturesque, which was another of the things the challenge was looking for. I like your explanation of her “bringing light to the building” as well. Element: Not Like The Movies - 7.0 - She is definitely serving FASHION. Is she serving fairytale? I don’t think she is really. The concept of her being beautiful and bright in such a dilapidated setting is interesting, but I feel this round, the setting should work in tandem with the model to craft a stunning image. Your score is definitely stable based on the glamour and pose that she has. Pressure - Not Like The Movies 7.5/10 i do like the description and how you explained it. It really gave it a story. Really cool dress and great spot where she took the photoshoot. Clueless: Not Like The Movies - 4: Yikes! Some of the other judges might like this... but it's giving me Big Bird. It's not really that ethereal at all. gotintoririfever1: Not Like The Movies - 8.5 - Amazing photo and concept. The interpretation is also amazing so i added a 0.50 for that. PinkBox - Celine Dion Spoiler Céline serving Mother Nature, creator of life, and God is a Woman, just created Adam and Eve CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: Pinkbox - 7: I appreciate the caption and how you meshed the fantasy and nature in this photo but clearly, it doesn't stand out at all. Sabbath: Pinkbox - Celine Dion - 4: first of all, the caption has me screaming. The colors are pretty but it all feels so cheap. And “Mother Nature, creator of life” doesn’t really say fantasy to me, it says, well, NATURE and human behavior. Then, the photo itself it’s not very ethereal, or magical or picturesque or anything and the concept of giving birth is so human that it’s the complete opposite of what this round was looking for. My least favorite entry from you :( Element: PinkBox - 6.5 - SIS what is this!! I’m dead. I get what you are going for here but the execution is a bit messy. This concept could have been so good but it comes across a bit cheesy and awkward. Points for literally “fusing her with flowers” like the description said. Pressure - PinkBox 7.5/10 the mother nature idea is really cool. I love how her dress is part of an actual flower. Really arty Clueless: PinkBox - 7: Pretty straightforward, Mother Nature. It's cute. gotintoririfever1: PinkBox - 8 - Love the concept for the photoshoot. Doesn't do much for me tbh. Plus 0.50 for the interpretation. Touch It - Beyonce Spoiler serving the queen of the fairies... tinker bell is shaking CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: Touch It - 7: So this is the mother of fairies, she looks so good in that video! With that being said, I just feel like a different screencap from the same video could do greater wonders :emofish Sabbath: Touch It - Beyoncé - 6: Touch It, nooooooooooooo. You’re telling me, we couldn’t even get a decent screenshot? I was rooting for you, how dare you do this!!!! The photo I posted was way better, even if it was from a photoshoot we had already seen so this is very, very disappointing. Sure, another entry that is very flower-based and nature oriented, but the fairytale vibe is missing. The LQ takes away any potential etherealness it could have and it’s just not very magic at all. You have been doing so well, this entry was just painful to see. Element: Touch It - 7.5 - Hm. This is a strange entry where it’s like… you kind of hit a bullet point list. Flowers, check, crown, check, etc. It meets the basic requirements but I feel like it could have been much more delicate and ethereal. It feels a bit in-your-face and artificially staged… I don’t really get ~fairy~ from it, sorry to say. The pixel quality of the photo is rough too. CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: Alena - 10: You slayed this round tbh! The purple eleganza truly made me feel like she's a queen of the clouds or she's a deity who can destroy anyone with her golden voice. Speezy: Alena - Selena Gomez - 10: Wow , A COMEBACK. I love the lavender coloring and the clouds. The flowers and umbrella does help with the fairytale look. I live for the description you gave. Xtina, the queen of moths! Speezy: Loyalty - Christina Aguilera – 6: Okay some parts of nature was captured, especially the moths but she looks like she fought against a country, lost and became homeless. Element: Loyalty - 9.0 - Ooooh, yes. This is really good. The outfit and the hair are very faerie fantasy. Her pose gives me the elegant vibe that I want. I would have loved to see a little more vibrant color in this to bring it up to the top of the pack. Pressure - Loyalty 9.5/10 I love this photo, I always adored her look in the fighter video. She was a goth princess back then ♡ Clueless: Loyalty - 8: This is one of those entries that benefited greatly from its write-up. I really like the direction that you took this in. gotintoririfever1: Loyalty - 7 - At first the photo was meh but it kinda works. Psycho - Lady Gaga Spoiler I chose this shot because it gives me fairy princess posing in ha luxurious house full of beautiful flowers vibes x CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: Psycho - 8: She lacks a bit in the ethereal-ish vibes may be due to the lighting but this is giving me a grown-up thumbellina teas so you'll do just good in my book Speezy: Psycho - Lady Gaga - 8: Very pleasant. I like the viney dress and earthly colors on the outfit. The vines and rooted plants along the steps are nice too. I wish she looked more happy or had a better expression in the photo Element: Psycho - 8.5 - From an objective, check the box standpoint, I think this image accomplishes what we asked for. The outfit, the unique colors, and the floral arrangement are strong. However, what holds this back from this round’s higher scoring entries is the lack of ethereal quality. Her rigid pose does not provide the delicate, magical element that would make this a top scorer. Pressure - Psycho 8/10 I love the dress and background and make up. Not big on the hair tho. But overall beautiful shot Clueless: Psycho - 9: This is like the Janelle Monáe entry done right. gotintoririfever1: Psycho - 6 - This aint cutting it sweety. Queen Conchita - Conchiita Wurst Spoiler I chose this shot because it reminds me of a modern day version of Sissi, the Empress of Austria with Conchita in a magical space he created where he could be himself, dream his dreams and plan his escape. CRITIQUE: Spoiler Yvess: Queen Conchita - 9: Come thru Jafar or Aladdin's Daddy! This is also a perfect entry to send esp when you have Miss Conchita who we know may have a hard time fitting any photo rounds. Thanks for proving us wrong! Speezy: Queen Conchita - Conchiita Wurst – 7: I do get a fairygodmother vibe from this but it seems rather nursing home-esque as well.The crown, the silver of the outfit and outfit in general is on point but the background is just dusty. Element: Queen Conchita - 7.0 - The setting of this image is quite interesting. I’m trying to process it all… like how do you classify it? A glamour shot? A fortune teller? Backstage at Cirque de Soleil? The only thing is that I’m not sure it’s 100% fairytale. The overall colorization is not really ethereal and there’s no real nature to go off, but the candles and lighting add to the slight fantasy vibe going on. Overall, I think you did well enough for your artist but this falls into the weaker end of the submissions this round. Pressure - Queen Conchita 10/10 sis this photo is perfection. Looks like a goddess here. Clueless: QueenConchita - 10: Wait this kinda slays. It's out there, but it's definitely one of the strongest entries of the challenge. I wish there was a tiiiiny bit more of a nature feel, though. gotintoririfever1: Queen Conchita - 5.5 - Tho admitingly, the photo is stunning.
