if anything he's only going to eat into whatever is left of Justin's base after Scheer takes first dibs.

Its like an 80% chance rn Scheer is taking it.

How is Justin not easily winning? He's a global main pop girl.

Well the same xenophobia/transphobia concerns over globalism etc., that elected Trump is on the rise here in Canada

Add to that it has recently come to light that his office created a law with influence by one of the biggest companies in Canada which enabled the company to evade prosecution for breaking sanctions in Libya etc. He was pressuring his AG to give them a DAP (basically prosecuted later or never) so that they could continue as usual.

Right now he's probably going to be investigated for ethical violations etc., and you already know the chants they will be yelling on the campaign trail.

Y'all international hunties just see him as hot and haven't actually been following what he's been doing, and it ain't looking good.

It really feels like Trudeau is going to lose. I know this is anecdotal, but basically everyone I know who isn't a ride-or-die liberal dislikes Trudeau :rip: And even lifelong liberals don't seem particularly enthusiastic to vote for him. I have a feeling it's going to be a Hillary situation where he gets low turnout because nobody's excited to vote for him, and that costs him the election.

I lowkey hope Scheer gets exposed for something blatantly racist or xenophobic :rip: Even though conservatism's on the rise here, I still don't think Canada would vote in an openly racist/xenophobic person like the US did.

Also Doug Ford has already been a disaster and an absolute mess for Ontario, so I'm hoping backlash against him translates somewhat into the federal election and gives Trudeau a bit of an edge here.

Can one of the Canadian sistrens tell me about the Green Party? In my home country I support the Greens so I expect the Canadian Greens to stand for good policies too but since I honestly don't really know anything about Canadian politics I don't want to just assume stuff :chick2:

I’d be surprised if Jagmeet were successful (unfortunately!) because of racist Canadians. Justin is so handsome though. From the sounds of things, Andrew will be successful. It would be great to have a win for a Green Party candidate.

Here in Europe, Green parties are on the rise in many places. The Green Party here in Germany is at 20% in the polls, more than twice as much they usually get in federal elections.

I hope people remember the inherit evil the PCs have brought to the provinces they run, and realize it’s still better to vote NDP or Liberals.

Hoping atleast thr PCs get a minority, and the other three form a coalition government.

Can they drop Justin and/or form a united left front? :rip:

They might do this if the conservatives can't form a majority.

Just means we will have another election very soon after, coalition governments do not last here or work that well.
