#55. Baby - Clean Bandit ft. Marina & Luis Fonsi

Clean Bandit + Camila: Top 10 version of Baby

Add Luis into the mix, and it's down 45 spots.

Who in Clean Bandit thought Luis is necessary for this song? :sosad:

#54. Call Out My Name - The Weeknd

Abel simply did what he has to do with this effort. A dark, mysterious, deep-production track delivered. He didn't step up big time, but he sure maintained his status as a quality creator.

#53. Space Cowboy - Kacey Musgraves

This isn’t Kacey's highest charting single. Space Cowboy is the ballad of the year for me. I'll save my Kacey writeup for the next Kacey spot(s). :fan:

#52. Let Me - ZAYN

ZAYN may not be ATRL's favorite solo male artist, but Let Me is an objectively good track. :clap3:

He showcased a soulful track on top of a well-produced background. I also see Let Me landing on some Best Of lists, at least some tasteful members see talent.

#51. Growing Pains - Alessia Cara

Alessia had a huge downgrade success-wise, :sosad:  but man did she up her game quality-wise. :clap3:

Many times in pop history did we see how the GP fails to catch up with quality upgrades, so while I was sad she wasn't well-received with this one, I'm happy she dared to step up her game no matter what the result will be.

Is That Alright is beautiful :heart2:

It deserves it's spot. :flower: ITA deserves higher but the songs currently higher than it deserves to, so yeah.

I listened to Nameless faceless the other day.  It's still good, but I don't even care about the album...

Yes the song is god-tier. The album was dragging for me. So I play the song pretty much all the time. :heart2:

2002 is a bop :katie2:

Sober is one of my favorite songs released this year :jonny4:

#50. Woman Like Me - Little Mix ft. Nicki Minaj

At first listen, I was like, "no ma'am, this ain't it." The Nicki verse made it 2 notches better. But what made it gallop into my Top 50 of 2018 is it's godly MV. :worship: If I ever would decide to make my Top MVs of the year, this would surely make it to Top 10-ish. The MV was effective in its role. It lifted the song and made me love it to heights I can't even imagine I'd reach without it. First, Perrie was so f*cking gorgeous, the other 3 were amazing as well.

I'm taking a guess and will say that they are influenced by KPop MVs, straightforward and in-your-face aesthetics. :fan:

#49. Everytime - Ariana Grande

First Sweetener B-side making it to the list. Let me just say this deserves a single treatment after Breathin. I'll save my thoughts on this for the next Sweetener tracks. :alexz2:

#48. The Middle - Zedd ft. Maren Morris and Grey

EDM this year wasn't as good as its peaks in the early 2010's, and The Middle is admittedly a generic EDM bop. :rip:  It's hard to admit that I liked this song that I've heard multiple times already. But, it started the resurgence of Pop in 2018, and I gotta thank it for that. Hence I felt the need to include this here, but not too high. Plus, it's simply a bop, don't @ me. :heart2:

#47. Stop Me From Falling - Kylie Minogue

The first Kylie track out of many! :jonny4:  I can't express how much Golden has impressed me, and I'm even a new fan of her. :alexz:   I'll save my thoughts on this for the next ones.

#46. Dancing's Not A Crime - Panic! At The Disco

Okay, Panic! Is taking spots left and right in this chart. :jonny2:  It deserves it tho given how much I'm blown away by the album. :heart2: I have more thoughts, but I'll save it for the next track too.

#45. Don't Blame Me - Taylor Swift

#JusticeForDontBlameMe

Taylor scores a second re-entry. :worship2: I recall this being like 60-ish in 2017's list. Since then, I've been playing this like hell and became one of my defining songs of the year. #JusticeForDontBlame As much as I love Delicate, I believe that if she wanted to push through with the positive image and avoiding IDSB for its repercussions, Don't Blame Me is the best next move. :eli:  A gorgeous MV would propel this to a well-rounded single. Her performances of DBM of RepTours was amiazing, and her vocals are serving. Again, #JusticeForDBM

#44. Love Wins - Carrie Underwood

The title in itself was  a win already. Then she served an outstanding track. Kinda stumbled with an MV that, for sure, would have been better. But overall, it's still an amazing song.

#43. Anna Wintour - Azealia Banks

First time listening to Azealia. I'm glad I get to know her music. :flower:  So far, this is my most favorite 2018 track from here. If you could recommend any better Azealia song, just hit me up. :alexz3:

#42. Shelby 68 - Kylie Minogue

Okay, second Kylie track in a set. :worship2: This time my fave B-side off of Golden. I can't believe she did Taylor Swift better than Taylor Swift in this one. I'm sold. :

#41. Done For Me - Charlie Puth ft. Kehlani

The best single on Voicenotes. :worship2: Kehlani lifted the track 10x better. The video was okay. But the hook sealed the deal for me. I believe I sang to it 50% of the year. :jamming:
