All The Stars - Kendrick Lamar & SZA When this was released I was like, damn, SOTY got released too early. However 3 more songs were released and snatched the SOTY from her. Anyways, the lack of SZA in 2018 was sad, she could have crowded my chart if she released more, but the one song she had was so good I'm still slayed to this day. The song was so chill, SZA's vocals were astonishing as always, and Kendrick has done good. All The Stars is a one-in-a-million soundtrack, and I will not let it pass my Best Of without a Top 5 placement.

It may be the common choice but I conform this time. Breathin is the woke song that's not so direct, inspirational song that's not so spoiling. It is the Touch It of Sweetener and the fact that It lifted Sweetener album to a higher level on its own alone is enough justification for its Top 4 finish.

Shallow - Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper Can I have a tied #1? 'Cause this one and the #1 song is just as GREAT! It might not have been the best in ASIB sonically, but it is the most essential track on the record and the most impactful song as well. It was one of the reasons the hype became bigger, it is defintely a year-defining smash.

Delicate - Taylor Swift And #1! ---- Taylor Swift's Delicate! Are you shocked? Perhaps, no. But, do you agree? Unlike LWYMMD, I believe you will agree on this one. It's the song that made people love Taylor again and had success amidst Taylor seeming to not want it to smash. The aesthetics are perfect for another song, and while it does not match the song 1:1, it still is good. This just has been my personal song of the year, and with Shallow, has been my defining (Western pop) song of 2018.
