Great pop debut. Bops on bops with super fun production and melodies. Serves: All My Issues, No Tears for Free, Gimme A Break Quote Elena the lead from Daughter's solo debut. I was super excited for this and she didn't let me down. I wasn't as satisfied with the production but Elena's writing is as gorgeous as ever. Very personal, poetic and emotional. Serves: Romance, The Dazzler, Crushing Quote Only listened cus of all the great reviews ( before this my favorite song from them was Somebody Else since Verite covered it ff) and I really wasn't disappointed. The first half is such a fun listen with so much depth and a really random mix of genres. The second half is so emotional. A really amazing album in general. I just like how modern and relatable the lyrics especially to younger generations (I mean corny sometimes but meh) .I always wanna die (sometimes) is such an amazing closer as well Serves: Love It if we made it, How To Draw/ Petrichor, Give Yourself A Try Quote Youtube recommended a music video from her and it reminded me a bit of Lana mixed with Melanie Martinez (without the sexual assault bits ). I got addicted to the song I had to check out her album when it came out. Love how sweet and grim this is at the same time.. very soft vocals with not so soft lyrics . The production really adds to the lyrics as well.
