Sheck Wes - Gmail (Trap Rap) It's crazy how fast a person can blow up. Sheck Wes was basically a nonfactor in 2017, but with his mo bamba single suddenly becoming a big billboard hit, of course more people paid attention to his material. The other highlight of the album; Gmail explains his favorite adlib he constantly uses: "Bitch!". Spoiler 183. Mahalia - I Wish I Missed My Ex (Contemporary R&B) I wonder why the video has so many views. Is it one of those youtube rec core things? Doesn't matter in the end since it's decent enough. Spoiler 182. Czarface & MF Doom - Bomb Thrown (Hip Hop) The uplifting cartoon and vocal samples makes up a standard comic mf doom song. Dude is pushing 50 but he's still going. Spoiler 181. John Maus - Outer Space (Synthpop) This is from his outtake album, but I almost like this more than anything off his last album. Love the guitar touch during the bridge. Spoiler 180. Halfnoise - She Said (Indie Pop) I just found out the person behind this band was formerly in paramore She Said is pleasant hipster core. Spoiler 179. Silk City ft Dua Lipa, Diplo, Markson - Electricity (Dance Pop/Future House) Not as strong as Dua's collaboration with Calvin but I didn't expect much for this song before it came out due to the people involved. She made it work too. Diplo impersonating her dancing in underwear was also kinda funny. Spoiler 178. Yona - Oblivious (Art Pop/UK Bass) Female computerized vocals with production by Ash Koosha. It sounds weird but also intriguing. The vocals also gives me Farrah Abraham vibes (whether u think that's a good or bad thing is up to u). Spoiler 177. Honnda - It's A Fox (Wonky/Deconstructed Club) Bouncy Orange Milk Productions. Spoiler 176. Bruno Mars ft Cardi B - Finesse Remix (New Jack Swing) What a nice way to kick off 2018. One More is disappointing for Yaeji but it's one of those that if you get past the first minute you start really enjoying it. Han Jan deserved to be WAY higher, though at least I'm glad we agree its the highlight and not Itgehane. True is kinda reductive of her earlier songs, like PInk and Blue/Attachment tbh. Run the Road was great for a week but I didn't really keep on listening to it
