ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 14, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 14, 2018 I was expecting ratchet happy birthday to be bop and we got that ff white boy/ i'm not racist.... two trash songs didn't care about the eminem/ machine gun kelly thing and avoided both nn solo was terrible too never be the same... I really liked it so
Tom Vercetti Posted December 14, 2018 Author Posted December 14, 2018 The lowkey nbts praise in here.. Feels like i'm in the Twilight Zone. Anyway, I finished my best songs list and if u guys thought my ep list was out there, you ain't seen nothing yet~ Spoiler 6 hours ago, Navyofbadgals said: Camila on the worst songs list..there are some points Tom has made There were more points I could've made from her album. 6 hours ago, Eeveelution said: nicoteen heroween morphine One of the worst prechoruses ever. 6 hours ago, The Lion King said: I agree, and the fact that it's from their moms too, a mess I still bop to it tho, oop U snapped with these lashings Tho Friends was a grower for me dd Yikes.mp4 6 hours ago, Vilppu said: luv jennie and root for her but solo and most blackpink songs are garbaj. only heard three songs off little mix album (this one + strip, joan of arc) and this was actually by far the best/least offensive one so maybe don't bother with the rest. camila trash idk the rest don't want to x The only Blackpink song I can go back to now is Playing With Fire. 5 hours ago, Wicked said: Agree with them all. Blackpink is terrible. Camilla is awful too, Bad Things still one of the worst things I ever heard. Think about it this way, for every MGK & post-MMLP Eminem, they have one RA the Rugged Man! I'm not bothering to listen to a D*ake album anymore after Views. He will never make a great album and that's that. Songs like Mob Ties Drake was good before WATTABA. After that he just plummeted and stopped caring about quality work. 5 hours ago, minho said: i will forever have a soft spot for Blackpink but so far, they have not delivered All these white boy rappers omg.. where do they keep coming from I partly blame the public for making them so popular. 4 hours ago, Superpower said: These are all bad with Friends being the worst because they actually tried to make it a global hit Supplies just needed a better chorus, so at least it’s a 6/10. So deserves a pass. I keep seeing the R Kelly song in Worst lists. My question is, why did y’all listen to it in the first place? MGK & Eminem, also why even give iT a stream? Out of curiosity and it's like watching a car wreck. 4 hours ago, Unoriginal said: Was worried something from my list would make it here. Glad to see it didn't WLM is a bad STS ripoff and STS is already mediocre at best the only one here I disagree with is NBTS. one of Camila's two good songs Unless u had snail mail or something like that on your lists, u had nothing to worry about. 3 hours ago, Remmy said: I've heard about most of these but there's plenty that I haven't actually listened to So that's good! I especially approve these: Ye vs. the People, Falling Down, Supplies and I Admit. I hate C*mila but I must admit that Never Be the Same is actually listenable for her standards. FRIENDS = overrated. Woman Like Me is actually one of the few Little Mix songs I enjoy Head Above Water needed to grow on me, but I can understand the complaints. When she dropped a preview of it, I could predict the lyrics before she even sang them. The ones you haven't heard, don't bother. HAW is elementary tier. 1 hour ago, Pink Matter said: I didn't bother to listen to a solid 95% of this list so I guess I'm not missing out. But... I kinda like Never Be The Same so I'd throw it in the bucket of generic **** that I like to listen to lol I listen to generic pop stuff myself from time to time but Camila's voice is awful to me. 56 minutes ago, Tsareena said: I was expecting ratchet happy birthday to be bop and we got that ff white boy/ i'm not racist.... two trash songs didn't care about the eminem/ machine gun kelly thing and avoided both nn solo was terrible too never be the same... U won't be seeing it in many best of lists anyway, besides @prézli's
MP2K Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Happy about this! Eminem / Machine Gun Kelly - Kill Shot/ Rap Devil come thru packaged deal of trash. Why did this even happen? JT pissed me off this year, but luckily he had about 5 joints on his album, but it just wasn't enough to save it.
Changes Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Whoa I completely forgot about that JT song. I liked it.
Bubble Tea Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 STAN legend Camila - her album is so damn good. No filler despite previously stated opinion pieces.

The fact that some people liked this trash... 9 hours ago, Tom Vercetti said: I'm tired of this dull ballad "#real music" trend thing going on. No one asked this from you. I can't make it past the first 30 seconds without rolling my eyes and skipping. And if you're gonna do this whole "Serious!" act, at least put some actual effort in the lyrics. SO TRUE damn this song is so awful 9 hours ago, Tom Vercetti said: Tom Macdonald - Whiteboy Holy cringe. I also don't need friends spelled out at me, thanks. Justin Timberlake - Supplies Him trying to do trap is basically "How do you do fellow kids" tier corny. Boy am I glad I didn't listen too/intentionally avoided most of your worst songs. These 3 are trash. I have to scream every time that Camila song comes on, like does she really think she's killing it by whisper squeaking? Girl. "F R I E N D S - that's how you........ spell friends." GIRL. **** OFF. Yes at you dragging the correct JT song. I do see why people hate Filthy, but, God, Supplies is the true trash. I did like a few songs from the JT album tho shhhhh
TheWayWeWere Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 almost all kanye releases that year were awful tbh not NBTS it's good pop track actually I already forgot about that Netta girl WML is just embarrassing tbh, and I have hope in that band after Touch slay Friends was cute for a minute, but became cringe fast tho
Price of Fame Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 I barely paid attention to music this year Hope to get some good recommendations from this thread
mokitsu Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 i agree with everything except solo 19 hours ago, Superpower said: I keep seeing the R Kelly song in Worst lists. My question is, why did y’all listen to it in the first place? fffff this
Tom Vercetti Posted December 14, 2018 Author Posted December 14, 2018 Thanks for the feedback. Gonna update some top songs now.
Tom Vercetti Posted December 14, 2018 Author Posted December 14, 2018 200. Charlie Puth - The Way I Am (Dance Pop) Say what you want about Mr. Puth but at least he's showing some kind of musical growth unlike his peers! The same man who made Marvin Gaye is now making tolerable radio pop. The constant riff in the song is kinda appealing. I like it and that's just the way I am. Spoiler 199. David Bryne - Everybody's Coming To My House (Art Pop, New Wave) I view David as a musical legend. However his recent album was very forgettable and had basically no impact on the year. The lead single is the only thing I really remember from it. It still has a groove to it. Spoiler 198. Porches - Now The Water (Sophisti Pop) Speaking of forgettable things, whew. These guys just vanished and declined. Now The Water is basically the only good song on the album that I can recall with its Sophisti approach. Spoiler 197. Yaeji - One More (Ambient Pop/Alternative R&B) I like her but she's gonna have to do better than this for her next single. It takes like a minute for the song to really start. However it slightly grew on me before I completely dismissed it. Spoiler 196. Santigold - Run The Road (Electropop/Pop Reggae/Alternative R&B) Santigold was under the radar for the year but Run The Road was a good single choice. Spoiler 195. Washed Out - Face Up (Chillwave) This definitely sounds like a B-side but still good for a standalone. Spoiler 194. Superorganism - Night Time (Electropop/Indietronica) Superorganism are another case of victims of being over-hyped only to underperform with their debut. Their sound doesn't translate as well in terms of a full length. Their closing song, Night Time however was decently placed and is more straightforward. Spoiler 193. The Radio Dept - Your True Name (Dream Pop) Similar case with Washed Out, it's a side song with no real impact, but it's just nice to listen to. Spoiler 192. Popcaan - Body So Good (Dancehall) None of that fake fluff that some others try to pull off. Spoiler 191. Lil Mosey - Noticed (Trap Rap) This dude is about as young as Bhad Bhabie, but I would rather listen to him anyday. Issa catchy tune. Spoiler 190. Ovlov - Half Way Fine (Indie Rock/Shoegaze/Noise Pop) Fuzzy rock with solid instrumentation. Spoiler 189. Hannah Diamond - True (Synthpop/Electropop) A more subdued approach for her. I was never really into her music but i'll give her debut a try when the time comes. Spoiler 188. Fabiana Palladino - Shimmer (Synthpop) Another track from the Paul Institute. Her vocals are alright but the production shines through here. Spoiler 187. Peggy Gou - Han Jan (Hip House/Electro) Good traces of electro groove. The standout from her ep. Spoiler 186. Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz & Saudi - X (Hip Hop/Trap Rap) Are you on Ten yet? Kendrick features tend to be iffy but he's fine here. All four did their part. Spoiler Recap: 200. Charlie Puth - The Way I Am 199. David Bryne - Everybody's Coming To My House 198. Porches - Now The Water 197. Yaeji - One More 196. Santigold - Run The Road 195. Washed Out - Face Up 194. Superorganism - Night Time 193. The Radio Dept - Your True Name 192. Popcaan - Body So Good 191. Lil Mosey - Noticed 190. Ovlov - Half Way Fine 189. Hannah Diamond - True 188. Fabiana Palladino - Shimmer 187. Peggy Gou - Han Jan 186. Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz & Saudi - X
ATRL Moderator Unoriginal Posted December 14, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 14, 2018 One More is honestly kinda cute. Absolutely not up to the standard of yaeji's other stuff but it grew on me too
