Yea that was a bad description but it sounds like a song within a song.  

Do you know Jun Togawa?  She's an 80s singer from Japan and is sorta an icon for new wave/punk fans and I think if you like her you'd like Zombie Chang although Zombie's way more polished/less aggressive. 

 

I like Trina, but she's just a poor man's Khia who is QUEEN OF THE SOUTH!!!  There's definitely a niche for so sexual it becomes ridiculous and funny and you either like it or you just don't appreciate it.

Never heard of her, I'm not that familiar with East Asian artists. My only exposure to it has been stuff like Blackpink which isn't for me & Sheena Ringo who is cool/good. Hun sounds good though.

I don't really like BlackPink at all lol.  I wouldn't say Zombie is similar to Sheena but love Shiina's 2003 to bits.  During the 80s jpop had a creative explosion and the synthpop/new wave scene was popping.  If you like artists like john maus/ariel pink you probably would like at least a good chunk of it.

 

lol, my fave Trina songs are BR Right and Look Back at Me.  Classy I know.

I was shocked that Cardi made it that high but I felt like anything else was unrealistic and not representing my true opinion.  Thank you!!

Thanks sis!  I know I was taking a risk putting pop 2 there but i really struggled finding an AOTY and yes I love sophies album but i didnt feel it in a "OMG ITS PERFECT" kinda way (i didnt feel that way about anything) so I'm glad pop 2 popped in my head.

I love Oil!  I just feel like Pop2 is more suited to my tastes.

The top two this top ten is excellent Rosalia snapped (especially with her visuals), In a Poem is great (Rage of Plastics might be my soty if I didn't limit myself to singles), I've been coming back to Be the Cowboy recently and appreciating some songs I wasn't keen on initially, Golden Hour is stunning, most of OIL is incredibly strong and Pop 2 is THAT mixtape Track 10 not being in your highlights though

This was a compilation released this year but I found it to be more refreshing. 

 

 

Jaar's own stuff is what I prefer from him. Nymphs compilation, Sirens, Time For Us/Mi Mujer type singles.
