FAVORITE TRACKS: Levitate, Morph, My Blood, The Hype, Pet Cheetah, Leave The City

I thought it was a boring album at first, but then I heard Pet Cheetah and it totally changed the way I looked at this album. It does feel melancholic sometimes, but the lyricism is great, and sonically, this album is such a cohesive output. One thing I noticed tho, some of the songs resembles some Foster The People, Sacred Hearts Club stuff. It's not a bad thing though.

FAVORITE TRACKS: Maybe It's Time, Shallow, Always Remember Us This Way, Is That Alright, Why Did You Do That?, I'll Never Love Again

I watched the movie before listening to the soundtrack. I only listened to Shallow once, too, prior to seeing the film. It's a better experience that way. Having said that, this soundtrack deserves the recognition it gets, along with the movie. I have to say, Joanne didn't do much for me. Brown Eyes from The Fame is one of my all-time favorites from her, and a lot of people say that Joanne is pretty similar to that. I can see similarities, but I believe that this album resonates better than its predecessor. Gaga won me back with this one.

FAVORITE TRACKS: Just a Stranger, Flight 22, Your Teeth In My Neck, Dead To Me, In My Dreams, After The Storm

*New artist alert* The first time I heard of her was last year, I think. On that Song Contest thread on the Games section. I loved that song I heard, but never really checked out the rest of her stuff. Then I heard she released an album this year and I was pleasantly surprised when I gave it a listen. Her voice is so sultry, it's almost hypnotizing. So chill, so sexy. Such a breath of fresh air.

FAVORITE TRACKS: Butterflies, Oh What a World, Mother, Love Is a Wild Thing, Happy & Sad, Wonderwoman, High Horse, Rainbow

Whew! I wish I could've put this in the top ten. This is one brilliant album. The way she makes country music infused with a little bit of various genres is just amazing. I've always liked her stuff ever since I heard Somebody To Love a year or two ago. Golden Hour didn't disappoint. This album has been with me when I had my heart broken earlier this year (in such a bittersweet way), so this album will always have a place in my heart.

The ASIB soundtrack is so great :clap3:

But some songs needs to grow on me!

ASIB soundtrack and Golden Hour :alexz:

I haven't heard Kali Uchis yet but she's on my list. As for Trench I think it was a decent album but not that memorable overall.

Sweetener :michael: Love half of it, slightly like 1/4th, kinda hate the remaining 1/4th. Janelle snapped all over Dirty Computer whew! :alexz: Trench is enjoyable. A Star Is Born + Golden Hour are both very solid.

Take a Byte, Screwed, Pynk, Make Me Feel, I Got the Juice, God is a woman, breathin, no tears left to cry, better off, Levitate, My Blood, The Hype, Pet Cheetah, Shallow, ARUTW, Is That Alright?, I'll Never Love Again, Butterflies, Oh What a World, Love Is a Wild Thing, Happy & Sad, Wonder Woman in your faves :smitten:

ASIB soundtrack is cute.

I tried getting into GH, but I still couldn't connect with it.

Kacey and Kali :heart2: ASIB soundtrack was a bit hit-or-miss for me, I do love Shallow though :)

FAVORITE TRACKS: X, Opps, Paramedic!, King's Dead, Redemption, Pray for Me

Forgive me for I haven't seen the movie even upto now. I just knew I have to listen to this album despite the fact that I haven't watched Black Panther, and it surely didn't disappoint. I had King's Dead, X, and Opps on rotation for more than half of the year. Great compilation from a great roster of artists.

FAVORITE TRACKS: Graffiti, Get Out, Forever, Graves, Heaven/Hell, God's Plan, Really Gone, Wonderland

I have to admit, this was quite a let down compared to their first two albums. This album is quite divided into two halves - the first half being repetitive and the second being classic CHVRCHES with something different (which I love a lot). The first half, especially the singles sans Get Out kinda weighs the album down, but the excellence of the latter half regains what the album lost. If you want to listen to it, please listen to the second half first.

FAVORITE TRACKS: Drip, Bickenhead, Bodak Yellow, Be Careful, Best Life, I Like It, Bartier Cardi, I Do

*New artist alert* I remember disliking Bodak Yellow so bad last year. Earlier this year, I saw a meme and decided to revisit Bodak Yellow and found myself singing along to it. I never knew it was that fun. I was in Japan when they announced the release of this album, and I highly looked forward to it. Just look at that cover alone. She delivered. For a debut album, it's such a strong body of work. Her personality just shines all through out, and I love albums like this. Love me some Cardi this 2018.

Black Panther OST is decent, the 1st half >> 2nd though. At least my trinity (PFM/X/Opps) is in your faves :clap3:

Love Is Dead :worship: Everyone says they were unimpressed but i felt the opposite, this is my favorite album from them. Oh wow at Deliverance (my 3rd favorite) and Never Say Die getting paid dust  Get Out + Graves getting their well deserved shoutouts :fish1: As for which half is better, they're pretty much on the same level for me.

Oh no at C**di  I wouldn't touch that album with a 10 foot pole

Yeah I didn't watch Black Panther either, but I still listened to the soundtrack  There's some good stuff on there despite the fact that I don't listen to the majority of those artists.

Love is Dead is a cute one, although I didn't find it that memorable tbh.

I heard a couple of Love Is Dead, and I really like it.

I may have to listen to the whole album soon.

Invasion of Privacy is a nice surprise considering Cardi didn't try to include all her discography in there.
