Why is this sentence so accurate for this album though :dies:

30-26... will not comment on that at this time

i know all of these what the ****... the only way you can redeem yourself is all albums with like 5k yt views on their lead singles in the next set

KSG/YF i love ofc, i think the voidz would work better as an EP cause i don't think it being this eclectic works all that well, some songs just aren't that great. beyondless is good but catch it overshadows everything else almost completely

In 20 years when TLIC will be universally acknowledged as a legendary classic you will all serve:

Young Fathers didn't do much for me the number of times I listened to it but I might give it another chance. Iceage was cute for a listen.

lastly a handful of these is just all types of wrong but I'll let you figure it out

fff, I'm just playing. and I mean, I thought it was universally agreed that Cudi Montage was the weakest cut? The chorus was a choice
I'm glad you liked the set, and yes to revisiting Young Fathers :clap3:

Image result for Jpegmafia - Veteran bandcamp

25. Jpegmafia - Veteran

Glitch Hop, Experimental Hip Hop, Industrial Hip Hop

Quote

Upon release, this was an immediate top 5 of the year for me. The production and structures on every single track on this album are remarkably compelling and not something you hear often (or more like ever) in rap music. Jpegmafia goes hard on each song, with both his delivery and his beats, and we get some of the wildest, most creative shוt of the year.

Tops: Real Nega, Thug Tears, Baby I'm Bleeding, My Thoughts on Neogaf Dying, Panic Emoji, Whole Foods, Macaulay Culkin, Rainbow Six, 1488, Curb Stomp

Bottoms: Dayum

Image result for Rico Nasty - Nasty

24. Rico Nasty - Nasty

Hardcore Hip Hop, Trap Rap

Quote

They need rappers like her. Rico's debut for Atlantic is filled with bangers after bangers in which her infectious and energetic personality shines through with the most hard hitting flows and bars of the year. She never gets outshined by the incredible production in courtesy of Kenny Beats and co. which ranges from industrial to metal alongside extremely catchy and aggressive riffs. It is not a perfect album; the more autotuned pop-rap laden tracks in the album's mid-section take a toll on it, but nevertheless, it bounces back and proves Rico as one of the most enthralling voices in hip hop today.

Tops: Countin Up, In the Air, Trust Issues, Transformer, Rage, Pressing Me, Ice Cream

Bottoms: Hockey, Won't Change, Life Back

Image result for Gang Gang Dance - Kazuashita

23. Gang Gang Dance - Kazuashita

Neo-Psychedelia, Indietronica

Quote

This is not something they ****ing made. this is professional like... this **** is in different areas, what the ****! After a seven year long break, Gang Gang Dance return with Kazuashita, and it marks a departure from preceding releases, while still being distinctive and inventive. An ethereal, dream-like atmosphere is carried throughout the album and comprises gorgeous layers of detailed and mellow production, and melodic and airy Grimes-esque vocals. From the infectious synth-line of 'Lotus', going ✈️ Islam with 'Young Boy (Marika in Amerika)' and the epic number that is the title track, Kazuashita is more than a welcome return.

Tops: Kazuashita, Lotus, Young Boy, Snake Dub

Bottoms: the worthless interludes

Image result for Amen Dunes - Freedom

22. Amen Dunes - Freedom

Singer/Songwriter, Neo-Psychedelia

Quote

Tops: Satudarah, Believe, Skipping School

Bottoms: Freedom, L.A.

Image result for Skee Mask - Compro

21. Skee Mask - Compro

Breakbeat, Ambient Techno, IDM

Quote

The cover art is an apt reflection of this record for me; at first glance, it appears dull and plain (well, it is). But as the album became a late bloomer for me, I found it to be surprisingly fitting; the pale light blue color nicely suits the atmosphere and lethargic feel of the album (the synesthesia jumped out), and the walking man's shadow (which I didn't even notice until recently :skull:) depicts the intimacy and isolation formed by the music. Those are, I assume (but am probably just bullshitting), reasons as to why I connected to this album. There's a nod to 90s electronica, while still being within Skee Mask's soundscapes. No grounds are broken here, and it's not necessarily a significant or remarkable record, but it is a rewarding listen that draws you in for a dozen more.

Tops: Soundboy Ext., 50 Euro to Break Boost, Flyby Vfr, Vli, Session Ad, Rev8617, Kozmic Flush, Via Sub Mids, Dial 274

Bottoms: Cerroverb

I've been meaning to give Rico Nasty a listen for a few weeks now :cupid:

Kazuashita :clap3: They do Grimes better than Grimes, I said what I said.

Amen Dunes had a gown or two on that album

The Skee Mask album did seem like a grower but I just didn't really have the time to give to it :chick1:

Jpeg was cute. It held me over till other rap albums were released.

Ms. Nasty is on my queue. Will come back with updates later :)

Also gonna check out the Gang Gang Dance album since they look/sound interesting.

Veteran is weird for me cuz I was on it then off then on again. Good song titles tho.

Rico Nasty... hmm.

Freedom was a good breakout album for mr dunes.

I pretend that Skee Mask is a temporary placeholder of a new Boards Of Canada album.

Freedom, JPEG.. not just something they ****ing made etc. :clap3:

I can't remember if I listened to GGD or not. Skee Mask and Rico I'll have to check out.
