The Middle + Learn to Let Go My Blood, Beautiful Trauma and Sober Up Those 3 are lovely. Some of these writeups are a little confusing they make it sound like the song shouldn't even be top 40 Artists: I like some songs from GD/CB/KL but overall, don't really care that much. OneRepublic Yeah, their quick lil singles are generally lame, hopefully they're saving quality for OR5. CHVRCHES I mean if you only listened to Love Is Dead once or twice I can understand songs sounding the same, but I can't really agree with that. Well if that artist did better work in the past, then only top 40 might not be that great CHVRCHES still have two entries to come!
collin Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Best Friend is one of those stuck-in-your-head bops. I liked that it became popular this year. Learn To Let Go
MusicLoverDude Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 In My Feelings makes me wish Keke ran as far away from Drake as possible. Learn To Let Go and The Middle That Avril shade ain't cute though.
TayRianaPH Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Hello sweetie! Great list so far! My Top 3 from this set: 3] Learn To Let Go 2] Beautiful Trauma 1] This Is Me A cute pop set! See you in my Best Of too!

And Avril is done while Kesha still has an entry left If Avril had released TMIO earlier though she might've had a chance to be this high!
potent Posted December 29, 2018 Author Posted December 29, 2018 So before we get to the top 30, here's a few songs that would've made it if I got into them a couple weeks earlier, or if they had been released a couple weeks earlier... (some might make it next year instead!) Avril Lavigne - "Tell Me It's Over" Well yeah this song wasn't released until like a couple weeks ago after I finalized my list so it goes without saying why it didn't make it. It's pretty good but feels like a non-event already tbh. Brandi Carlile - "The Joke" This was released earlier in the year but to be very honest I had no idea it existed until the Grammy noms came out. I thought it would be that cheesy HAC type Grammy bait and it kinda is, but her powerful vocals in the chorus really resonate with me. Kacey Musgraves - "Butterflies" Kacey Musgraves - "Space Cowboy" I really didn't know Kacey released more than one single this year, so you'll only be seeing High Horse here (it's yet to appear btw!) Khalid - "Better" I don't use this basic guy who is in all likelihood an industry plant, but this song is kind of a chill bop? Panic! At the Disco - "Hey Look Ma, I Made It" It's cute. Way better than the irritating High Hopes but don't @ me! P!nk - "A Million Dreams" I didn't care to listen to the Greatest Showman soundtrack when it came out, but I love P!nk so I was eventually drawn to this. It's cheesy but well done overall. Rina Sawayama - "Cherry" A bop! I think I kinda tried to get into it at some point, but then I forgot about it. It's a great pop song. Robyn - "Honey" This song really only grew on me with the video, but I'm obsessed with it right now. Seeb x Bastille - "Grip" So I guess EDM collabs are Bastille's new thing? I was skeptical of this one at first but it's actually good on its own. The 1975 - "Love It If We Made It" Still inferior to many songs on ILIWYS, but probably their best effort this year!
Remmy Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Tell Me It's Over Honey Hey Look Ma, I Made It (I agree it's better than HH) A Million Dreams, cheesy??? Show some respect to the best song from both soundtracks! Kacey was a late bloomer for me as well, except none of her singles made it dd. Space Cowboy would've done the best.
Jet Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Learn To Let Go Kesha really did her thing last year
Mr. Loco Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 P!nk's version of A million dreams is actually really good!! Hey look ma I made it is cool, but the other P!ATD singles this year were better tbh
lhdang2000 Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 P!nk's A Million Dreams is very good. I kinda feel the same with The Joke. I didn't pay attention to it until the Grammys.
JGibson Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 A Million Dreams + Love It If We Made It + Tell Me It's Over + Grip + Butterflies
ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted December 29, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 29, 2018 Tell Me It's Over it's amazing
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted December 29, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 29, 2018 I have also discovered Brandi thanks to the Grammys and I hate that I discovered her too late Kacey x2, P!nk, Robyn deserved to make the list
Blue Rose Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Kacey, Khalid, The 1975, Robyn. All excellent
TheWayWeWere Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 TMIO already feels like non-event even tho I came out just few weeks ago Space Cowboy Cherry is a pop perfection Honey
TayRianaPH Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Omg, I'm about to reveal Space Cowboy in my list too! The way we are shedding a masterpiece nowI also forgone Honey already, I wished I put it higher. Tell Me It's Over is present here, so is taste, I see.
potent Posted December 30, 2018 Author Posted December 30, 2018 Lol so like everyone else I'm getting tired of posting these sets, but I'm committed to finish as I started, so I'll be posting the next set right now, and finish within the week
potent Posted December 30, 2018 Author Posted December 30, 2018 SONGS: 30-21 taking another break from artists, I'll finish that list within the next two sets ~
Mr.Link Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Hey! I'm so glad to see you're still posting your countdown and seems like this time you will actually finish! I will catch up with the rest of the list but as as of this set i really like most of the songs. Happier, Finesse and Bloom being my favorites. I think CHVRCHES' last album is their weakest but Graffiti is such a bop. Looking forward to see your top 20.
