Duca
Here Are All 41 Hot 100 No. 1 Hits Nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars "Can't Stop the Feeling!" becomes the 41st chart-topper to be Academy-recognized with the announcement of this year's nominees. Justin Timberlake joined rare historical company today (Jan. 24), with the nomination of his 2016 smash "Can't Stop the Feeling" (from the animated movie Trolls) revealed as one of five songs up for best original song at this year's Oscars. With the song's nod, it becomes the 41st No. 1 hit on the Hot 100, dating back to the chart's 1958 conception, to also be nominated for best original song at the Academy Awards. Interestingly, while there have been 41 nominated songs to reach the Hot 100's apex -- 16 of which ended up taking home the Oscar -- "Can't Stop the Feeling" is just the third No. 1 from this century to be so recognized. The decade with the most Hot 100-topping best original song nominees was the 1980s, with a staggering 22 of the 41 total coming from '80s films -- including all five nominees from the 1984 class, the only year where every nominee had topped Billboard's marquee songs chart. Check out the complete list of songs to achieve the dual feat below. 1 B.J. Thomas, "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid (1969) 2 Isaac Hayes, "Theme From Shaft" Shaft (1971) 3 Maureen McGovern, "The Morning After" The Poseidon Adventure (1972) 4 Michael Jackson, "Ben" Ben (1972) 5 Barbra Streisand, "The Way We Were" The Way We Were (1973) 6 Diana Ross, "Do You Know Where You're Going To" Mahogany (1975) 7 Barbra Streisand, "Evergreen" A Star Is Born (1976) 8 Bill Conti, "Gonna Fly Now" Rocky (1976) 9 Debby Boone, "You Light Up My Life" You Light Up My Life (1977) 10 Dolly Parton, "9 to 5" 9 to 5 (1980) 11 Christopher Cross, "The Best That You Can Do" Arthur (1981) 12 Diana Ross & Lionel Richie, "Endless Love" Endless Love (1981) 13 Jennifer Warnes & Joe Cocker, "Up Where We Belong" An Officer and a Gentleman (1982) 14 Survivor, "Eye of the Tiger" Rocky III (1982) 15 Irene Cara, "Flashdance...
