I'm afraid I stopped understanding how the Hot 100 works.

How the hell is Love on the Brain #5 when it's out of the top 30 on both iTunes and Spotify? Like who is requesting it on the radio? Cause not many seem to be buying it/streaming it so I don't. Or does just radio play whatever they want with no regard to what the public actually wants?

4 versions of LOTB charting on iTunes, it's actually #18 in sales http://www.billboard.com/charts/digital-song-sales

#28 in streaming as of last week http://www.billboard.com/charts/streaming-songs

had a 19% increase in audio streams this week

+ it's getting 3.5M weekly streams on Youtube US w/o an official vid

radio is playing this a lot bc the song is getting great callout scores (#1 HAC / #8 pop / #2 rhythmic / #4 urban), meaning ppl love it, hence why it's been selling 35k every week for the past 3 months (750k total) and has 130M streams on spotify. :celestial5:

LOTB would've jumped to top 3 had Rih released a video like yesterday

Mariah continues to win

Ed will have ha #1 song and album of the year and probably get a few grammy's this new era.

ATRL refuses to get on the winning team but they'll learn soon enough

That's not what I said at all...

but anyone that puts Ed sheeran as a superstar with a string of hits like Katy perry or Rihanna is only fooling themselves.

X sold 8M worldwide. Where's Katy? Where's Rihanna?

Let's not ignore the album sales.

But the hot 100 is USA.

the fact remains, he's a star in the US, but has never shown phenomenal sales consistency, and that expectations that suddenly divide would be some huge seller is just bizarre.

hes always been and always will be a bigger artist elsewhere then he is in the US.  TOL was huge, but it certainly didn't make him a household name like Adele and his overall GP penetration isn't at superstardom level. To help sell the levell F albums people claim he should have got.

okay then. I see what you mean.

love on the brain walking past chained to the rhythm like with no promo...

2z5mxic.jpg

its low key funny flopping on itunes and navy chilling in the top 5. again. for the 22nd time when katys amazing song is struggling. CTTR is song of the year for me right now, so this isnt shade. just find it funny. how rihannas flopping at flopping.

like this is literally rihanna walking passed LOTB, like oh **** its actually doing good, she probably forgot she never shot the video cause it was on her list of things to do but she probably really forgot because she releases so much music.

Perfect time to close the era with desperado.

The game is hers.

I'm glad LOTB exceeded expectations though.

you have pop, r&b, dance and urban in one beautiful fashion icon package.

How can she lose?

Let's not ignore the album sales.

Rihanna has an album that's sold over 9.5 million worldwide. She also has a 7 million selling album. (No SPS). I don't think Ed is just on her level yet.

The artist formerly known as Rihanna.

Her new era she will be referred to as Talent with a capital T.

She'll allow them to breathe just so she can watch them seethe

She's so savage
