I hope it can make it to 100 weeks. I mean it only fell one position this week. It just needs to keep falling slowly until the new era starts to make people revisit the album.

That’s not true. The new formula is used for all the singles now, no matter when they have been released. So Gold is 25,000 and Platinum is 50,000. FIMI confirmed since they certified a song from 1992 Platinum and they say it sold 50,000 unites.

A Platinum single was 50,000 then. Songs released before December 2004: 25,000 (Gold) & 50,000 (Platinum) aka as it is today too January 2005 - December 2009: 10,000 (Gold) & 20,000 (Platinum) January 2010 - January 2015: 15,000 (Gold) & 30,000 (Platinum) They jumped back and forth in the past 14 years.

Still not true. Fimi started to operate on the certification in March 1999. So it’s not possibile. Also, Shake It Off by Taylor Swift (2014) it’s certified PLATINUM in Italy with 50,000 unites sold. Your theory is wrong.

Somebody added the manual parameter "salesamount=50,000". I get these numbers from wiki which has a number of sources: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federazione_Industria_Musicale_Italiana#Singles I’m not trying to discredit the song

How is that related to Break Free or SIO? The song was released in 1992. The sentence talks about the relaunch by FIMI in 1999 so of course everything released before this date was adapted to today’s standards as they noticed previous requirements were set way too high. Anything released in 2014 doesn’t fall under that criteria. The table below shows the requirements under FIMI and it states 15,000/30,000 until 2015. Nowhere does it say "2014 releases were adapted to 2016 methods".

Basically, your source says that before 1999, the gold certification was 1,000,000 unites so that means -according to you- that the song from 1992 should keep follow this ‘goal’ of certification but it didn’t since it only sold 50,000 unites. Sweetie, just accept the reality.
