Well that's why it's called an estimate. Like any other fanbase, that's all we can do. I really don't understand what you're saying. You have a problem with the pure sales estimates but also with the US pure sales plus non-US SPS? Like what do you expect us to do? Other bases calculate WW sales too, but as you said you only directed this toward our base and the Selena base.

so what's the truth? GuusLima or mullingar? they both gave us different sales, which of the sales they gave us are right?

GuusLima knows what he's talking about. He has the numbers to prove his case, and unless someone proves otherwise, I'm trusting him. :cm:

Some people are using this new formula "without US streams", but that doesn't make sense. Some countries do not count streams on their certifications, If a country work only with pure sales, it's not necessary to use streams on it.

This formula is like the old way from ATRL/ClassicATRL to add up the Worldwide Sales:

Blue = Countries that reveal pure sales or work only with pure sales.

Red = Countries that work with SPS and don't reveal pure sales.

PS: Some SPS of that post "without US streams" are extremely inflated. I did it on Selena's OP too because these are the only ones with this formula "without US streams".

There is NO WAY that Dangerous Woman or Into You sold 5k in Portugal.

People do not buy songs here. They probably sold only 100 copies or less.

To reach the #1 here you only need to sell 40 copies :ahh:

Oh cool. I was confused because on Twitter some Ariana Chart Accounts were already saying the numbers GuusLima gave us were fake and started to replace them with mullingar's. Mess. Thank you btw

The countries in red are SPS.

Splitting Pure Sales / SPS feels so... reductive in 2017, especially for a Stream Queen like Ariana.

Just make everything SPS so people can see how much she slays. :fan:

If only Apple Music released their #s and we could see #s for services like Saavn, Mel0n, etc.

After all, Dangerous Woman DOES have 7 Billion WW streams. :fan:

Oop. My bad. I don't know then lol. As I said, then GuusLima is who I'm trusting for now.

I agree people should count streams in 2017, but it's still nice to get an estimate of how much songs sold in pure sales.

I hate it when people say ''Into You - Pure Sales'' (for example) and then count every country's sales with SPS and only US with pure sales.

Posted

Splitting pure from pure+equivalents benefit both sides at the end of the day, putting US pure with other WW SPS units doesn't make sense and causes inflation for the sake of bulking receipts. It's inaccurate.

According to your exemple

Into You streams from Norway:

6,700,000~ by 450 = 15,000~

In case, this is less and your SPS are HUGES.

Guys, I don't wanna to fight, I just wanna do something right. Nobody has believed in the sales of Ariana or Selena, everyone makes jokes. If you want a post with SPS from all countries, including the US, I can do this but it's not corret this way (Without US Streams, with incorret numbers) to updade their sales.

I love them like Miley, Demi or Zara and I just wanna do something right (as I said) but not inflating her numbers.

That's why I separate pure / SPS sales.

I have never used sps from Norway on Ariana or Selena topics. Only 4 countries reveal their pure sales: US, JP, SK & MEXICO. The rest uses streamings on their certificates.

What mullingar is doing does not make sense. Putting US and other countries pure with some countries SPS is inaccurate and will just give you a random number.

Um, so adding Pure Sales from countries that work with them and SPS Sales from countries that don't work with Pure Sales doesn't make sense but adding all the SPS Sales around the world except the US does? LOL okay. What mullingar is doing makes much more sense. He's approaching Pure Sales more this way than with Guus's random method.

The difference is that Guus tells us actual pure sales and mullingar doesn't.

I've always separated pure sales from sales with streamings. I've never used streaming sales to inflate pure sales.
