DRjuss06's Weekly Top 25, Week of March 13- March 19, 2017

Ed Sheeran returns to the top of the chart, rising 2-1 after holding at #2 for the past two weeks, for a 4th total week on top with "Shape Of You." The song surpasses "Bloodstream" as his longest-running #1 as the song spent 3 weeks @ #1 in 2015. The song defeats Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee who drop 1-2 after two weeks on top, but barely. Ed's rise to #1 is thanks mostly to his new album being released and rising to #1 in Airplay.

Rihanna stays @ #3 with LOTB, ahead of Katy Perry with CTTR, unchanged since the last week. The Weeknd & Daft Punk rise 6-5 thanks to the premiere of its music video. The song is their 2nd joint top 5 and the 3rd top 5 from "Starboy" after the title track and "Party Monster."

Outside of the top 5, Bruno Mars rises 10-6 with TWIL. Shakira & Maluma fall 5-7 while Ariana & Future rise 9-8 with "Everyday." Lorde rises 21-9 with "Green Light." Her first top 10 after the #2 peaking "Yellow Flicker Beat" back in late 2014/early 2015. At first I wasn't sure about the song, didn't like how distorted it is but now I love it, hence the rise. Calvin Harris also makes a high jump with "Slide" feat. Frank Ocean & Migos. The song follows the 2016 Top Song of the Year, "This Is What You Came For" which spent 8 weeks @ #1 with Rihanna. The song is the first top 10 for both Migos and Ocean (I really think he had a top 10 but I'm not sure).

Outside of the top 10, Ed Sheeran flies 22-15, a new peak, with "Castle On The Hill" while debuting at #25 with "Dive." The Hot Shot Debut of the week belongs to Khalid at #24 with "Location."

DRjuss06's Week of March 20- March 26, 2017

Luis Fonsi rises 2-1, returning for a 3rd nonconsecutive week on top. The song rises to the top spot thanks to an increase in airplay due to a new solo version released last week. The song becomes the first spanish song to join the "3 week club" of my chart of songs that have spent at least 3 weeks on top, something that "Shape Of You" by Ed Sheeran accomplished a couple of weeks ago. Rihanna holds at #3 thanks to Airplay alone, for the 3rd straight week. If the song had a music video, it would at least be #2 this week but the gap between the top two songs this week and the #3 song is the greatest in a while. Bruno Mars rises 6-4 with TIWIL, the song follows the #2 peaking "24K Magic," while Lorde returns to the top 5 with "Green Light" as it rises 9-5.

Calvin Harris rises 10-6 with "Slide." Katy drops 4-7 with CTTR, while Ariana stays put at #8 with "Everyday." The Weeknd & Daft Punk drop 5-9 with IFIC and The Chainsmokers rise 11-10 with "Paris."

Outside of the top 10, John Mayer debuts at #18 with "I Still Feel Like Your Man" while Khalid jumps 24-17 with "Location," his first song to chart.

Longest-Running #1s on Weekly Chart (at least 3 weeks on top and not including Daily Chart Records):

DRjuss06's Weekly Top 25, March 27th- April 2nd, 2017

Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee spend a 4th nonconsecutive week on top, expanding their record as the longest-running Spanish song in my weekly chart. The song fends off Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You" which stays at #2. Both songs now share the record of the longest-running songs of 2017 so far. Bruno Mars and Lorde rise 4-3 and 5-4, while Rihanna drops 3-5 with LOTB. Rihanna is actually #2 in Airplay this week but doesn't benefit of Video Points.

Outside of the top 5, Katy Perry rises 6-7, Calvin Harris drops 6-7, The Chainsmokers rise 10-8 while Khalid earns his first Top 10 with "Location" as it rises 17-9 and Zedd & Alessia Cara rise 11-10 to join the Top 10 for the first time.

DRjuss06's Weekly Top 25, Week of April 10- April 16, 2017

A week after becoming the first spanish song to spend at least 5 weeks on top, Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee expand the record to add a 6th week on top. "Despacito" is shaping up to be one of the best performing songs of the year. Out of 23 songs to spend at least 3 weeks on top, the song is now one of 10 to spend at least 6 weeks on top. The song expands it record as the longest-running #1 of 2016, followed by Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" with 4 weeks, the song drops 4-7 this week. The Weekend's "Starboy" feat. Daft Punk is in 3rd place as it spent the last 3 of its total 9 weeks on top earlier in January.

Back to the chart, Bruno Mars & Lorde stay at #4. Rihanna rises 5-4 while Khalid rises 6-5 to earn his first Top 5 on my chart. Coldplay & Chainsmokers rise 7-6, Zedd/Alessia Cara "Stay" at #8 while Calvin Harris slides back into the top 10, rising 11-9, while Ariana & Future hold on at #10.

Outside the top 10, 4 songs debut led by Harry Styles' "Sign Of The Times" at #13. The song is the 2nd song by a member of One Direction to make my chart after Zayn who has two #1s, including "Befour" which ended up as the #3 song of 2016. The song debuts only with 3 days of tracking as tracking for this week ended last sunday, it should rise substantially next week. Another huge song this week is Kendrick Lamar's "Humble." which becomes his first solo to hit my chart, the song should also rise next week. At #15 is David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj & Lil' Wayne with "Light My Body Up." At #18, ZAYN debuts along with PARTYNEXTDOOR with "Still Got Time."

DRjuss06's Weekly Top 25, Week of April 17- April 23, 2017

John Mayer rises 16-1 with "Still Feel Like Your Man" to earn his 14th #1 and first since 2013's "Wildfire." John is the male artist with the most #1s on my chart, followed by Drake with 10 #1s. The song rises thanks to its music video and rising Airplay. Kendrick Lamar rises 14-2 with "Humble.," which also benefits by Airplay & Video Play. The song is his highest ranking song since "Bad Blood" hit #1 in 2015 and his second top 5 this year after "Don't Wanna Know" by Maroon 5 rose to #5.

Luis Fonsi drops 1-3 after 6 non-consecutive weeks at #1. Something to note this week is that the top 3 songs are still rising in points. Lorde drops 3-4 with "Green Light" and John Mayer rounds up the top 5 with "Love on The Weekend." The song initially peaked at #6 earlier this year and rises to a new peak. Bruno drops 2-6 while Harry Styles rises 13-7 with "Sign Of The Times," his first Top 10 and the 2nd top 10 by a member of One Direction (a group who never made my chart because their music sucked, honestly). Rihanna drops 4-8 with LOTB while debuting at #10 with "Loyalty." by Kendrick Lamar. Khalid drops 5-9.

Kendrick also debuts at #13 with "DNA." while John Mayer also debuts at #18 with "Never On The Day You Leave."
