ANTI shaping up to become the 5th & final female album from this decade to spend 200 weeks on the chart

Sorry but It's not impressive for 2016 post albums to reach that milestone anymore, especially considering ANTi was and still is mostly streaming-fueled. This should be the reason why very frontloaded albums like Reputation might also be able to spend 150-200 weeks, something not so difficult lately, but still not everyone had that 3 years ago.

Okay.

I'd love to know why Rihanna's ANTI is the only female album released in Billboard's streaming era (December 2014-present), and the only female album released in the past 256 weeks that is currently approaching 200 weeks on the Billboard 200.

If you could provide me with an answer, that'd be dope.

Reputation is actually charting below Anti this week even though it hasn't yet reached 100 weeks on the chart so it looks like it might be a little difficult to achieve, after all.

I can't quote you for a reason.

Streaming makes it easier for staying on charts, it plays an important role for streaming fueled artists like Rihanna or Ariana. Dangerous Woman which is not even 2x Platinum in the US reached 154 weeks on Billboard 200. So it's not surprising that ANTi did quite similar numbers having two 5x platinum songs and multiple weeks at #1.

Reputation is probably going to reach 100 weeks in 3 weeks, not leaving the chart for ONE single week. So it's probably a math question, Rihanna stan.

But unlike you, I know that this is nothing to be bragging about, at least for Taylor's standards. But I can understand why it means so much to you when Reputation may outlast ANY Rihanna album on BB200 bar ANTi, roughly 90% of her discography.

Out of her '10s albums yea :-/, but it still spent well over a year in the chart. That's near unbelievable for a new album without SPS.

Yes, an impressive feat. I hope her next album serves better longevity.

What was the point of you posting in this thread at all? Anti is one of the longest-charting albums, that's that. You failed to provide another female album released in the same period as Anti that charted as long, whatever you might think qualfies as an accomplishment does not change the facts laid out, sorry.

The most impressive ones are the pre-streaming era (pre-2015) ones when charting for long was much harder

So... just as I thought, you weren’t able to name even just one other female album released in that time span that has served the longevity that ANTI has.... No other female album released in that time span reached 160 weeks, let alone 190 or 200. Any album released between Taylor’s 1989 (October 2014) and September 2016 (that’s a 2 years span) could’ve achieved this.

If you want me to list every major female releases which occurred during those 2 years, plus every major female album released after ANTI that have already exited the chart, let me know.

Dangerous Woman is no longer charting and received multiple boosts in the past year: Sweetener release & TU,N release.

Rihanna, however, hasn’t dropped any new album since ANTI nor has she featured on any new song in the past 2 years. Which makes ANTI’s longevity even more impressive. And... the album is eligible for 4x Platinum in the US. Not sure what you were trying to do with this comparison.

ANTI in its 102nd week was #78 on the chart. Reputation in its 97th week is #155. Hell, ANTI’s 97th week happened during the Xmas albums takeover and even then, it was #120. What’s not clicking? You should’ve just sat there and ate your food.
