Thus far, it easily has a top 5 (#3) placing on the Decade-End, Songs list. It is culturally significant and influential in the sense that it was the first EDM-heavy song to chart at #1 on the Hot 100 (the song's bridge is literally a dance breakdown as are 2/3 of the songs chorus' - I suppose PRA was the 1st to a degree). It is, quite literally, the most successful song by a Black lead artist (and for Black females of course) of the 2010's decade thus far both domestically and globally (unless you include Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" but that's debateable because one could attribute the songs success to Charlie Puth and what not). It's still charting in the ITunes top 250 WW 6 years later and is big in recurrent airplay, moreso than Party Rock Anthem which I haven't heard in years etc. Anyhow, in your opinion, what do you think the 2010s decade end songs list - top 10 - will be thus far? Yeah, We Found Love is definitely Rihanna's biggest hit this decade and one of the 10 biggest songs. As for the 2010s decade-end charts WFL should end up top 5, although not top 3. I'm 99% certain Closer will be top 3 (along with PRA and UF!). Top 10 as of this week would be: 1. Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO ft. Lauren Bennett and GoonRock 2. Uptown Funk! - Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars 3. We Found Love - Rihanna ft. Calvin Harris 4. Somebody That I Used To Know - Gotye ft. Kimbra 5. Rolling in the Deep - Adele 6. Closer - The Chainsmokers ft. Halsey 7. Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen 8. Blurred Lines - Robin Thicke ft. T.I. & Pharrell 9. Royals - Lorde 10. All About That Bass - Meghan Trainor
UnusualBoy Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 If TCS have 3 songs inside of the top 10, they will be the first act to do it since Adele slayed back in 2012 with RITD, SLY & SFTTR, right?

If "Something Just Like This" goes #1 in the near future, that will be really impressive for Coldplay considering they are 20 years into their career!
Miles. Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 The Chainsmokers (hopefully) having 3 songs in the top 10 next week So hyped for them! Hope Paris somehow goes top 5 before SJLT replaces it. Also @ Rih bitch ass not releasing a video for LOTB and sacrificing a top 5 peak. Hate her.

ThisIsSempi Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Now would be a great time for Selena to promote but I'd probably find a leprechaun before that happens

To this point, I'd look at (not necessarily in this order) Tic Tok, RITD, PRA, WFL, Blurred Lines, Royals, Happy, Somebody That I Used To Know, Closer, Hello, One Dance, and I'll try to think of some more later today. Dark Horse, Shake It Off, Thinking Out Loud, All About The Bass are possibilities too. With Radioactive peaking at #3, it's unlikely to get consideration despite its incredible longevity. TOL is the only #2, MAYBE Bad Romance, but I think BR is quite a stretch. I forgot about Call Me Maybe.

All About That Bass - Meghan Trainor I've already written Gary and Silvio a very detailed message about how much time UF lost due to 25/52, and how without 25/52, UF would rank well ahead of PRA. Closer's ultimate longevity will also almost certainly be shortened by 25/52 too. I will assume Closer goes superrecurrent for the purposes of these estimates. Right now, it should be (taking 25/52 into consideration) 1) Uptown Funk 2) Closer 3) Party Rock Anthem 4) We Found Love I can't go further because RITD and Somebody benefitted from the no 25/52. RITD spent 13 extra weeks, and Somebody 6-7. The other songs in the Top Ten weren't impacted by 25/52.

I remember Hello and other songs that were charting at that time falling off the charts prematurely because of the onslaught of Beyonce and Drake songs. I expect the same thing to happen in 2 weeks when Ed drops his album. Heathens will likely drop out and miss the decade-end charts because of all the album tracks.
jezebelvictoria Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 So 'Love on the Brain' is going to taunt me in the top 10 like 'Needed Me'. I want !

volition Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 does billboard count the weeks after 25/52 for decade end / all time charts? if not this decade end chart will be kinda messed up and inaccurate
