Brodie Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 These don’t look like they include any of the VIP tickets in them... Taylor had so many VIP seats too! Either way that gross is fantastic! Who else but her
Feanor Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Get money bich! And apparently those numbers don’t include the VIP tickets, so imagine the gross of Billboard includes them
Headlock Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 (edited) Incredible Y'all I don't think this "Pollstar doesn't include VIP tickets" thing is true, their numbers have always matched up with Billboard's. The ticket prices they include in the little summary never include VIP prices I don't think, but that doesn't mean they aren't included in the boxscore. For example, Billboard boxscores from the 1989 Tour: Quote 1 Taylor Swift, Vance Joy, Shawn Mendes Lincoln Financial Field Philadelphia, Pa. June 12-13, 2015 $11,987,816 101,052 / 101,052 2 / 2 $139, $106.50, $79 The Messina Group/AEG Live 3 Taylor Swift, Vance Joy PNC Arena Raleigh, N.C. June 9, 2015 $1,653,762 13,886 / 13,886 1 / 1 $139.50, $97, $39.50 The Messina Group/AEG Live 5 Taylor Swift, Vance Joy Time Warner Cable Arena Charlotte, N.C. June 8, 2015 $1,627,798 15,024 / 15,024 1 / 1 $139.50, $97, $39.50 The Messina Group/AEG Live https://classic.atrl.net/forums/showthread.php?t=816605&page=4 Taylor had tickets way more expensive than $139 on the 1989 Tour. I think those three numbers are the average high, middle and low ticket prices at that particular show date. Edited May 16, 2018 by Headlock

ATRL Moderator feelslikeadream Posted May 16, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted May 16, 2018 What do those numbers mean???? 59,157/59,157 107,550/53,775 I checked every show the night before to see if they were sold out and they never were What does it all mean?

The attendance, first one Glendale, second one Santa Clara. The second one is a bit weird, it's the attendance of both shows combined/attendance for each individual show A lot of tickets are being sold the day of the shows on this tour, checking Ticketmaster kind of becomes tedious after a certain point tbh. I just follow this Twitter account: https://twitter.com/ReptourBoxscore They're pretty accurate and keep up to date with the shows to the best of their ability. Before the Glendale show and both Santa Clara shows you could tell that they were going to sell out. Edited May 16, 2018 by Headlock

Basically artists regularly manipulate their boxscores to make the tour seem sold out (if their promoters/team can be bothered to meddle).

Exactly. Sold outs are a myth. There is always room for more people. I've always said it, what matters in the end is the actual attendance, not the availability!

You were responding to someone who checked Ticketmaster and said the shows weren't sold out the day before. Thanks for making that clear to us And like I said your original reply with the full stadium crowd picture was completely pointless and irrelevant since nobody was arguing that the show was not busy.
