The amount of copies you need to reach platinum with an album is completely different than the amount of singles. Platinum is 600k for singles and 300k for albums. So, obviously, Madonna is the highest certified female in the history of the United Kingdom since she has sold by far the most albums. But Rihanna's numbers are very impressive too. Based on those, these are the Top3 most certified females. Madonna 75xPlatinum Rihanna 64xPlatinum Adele 53xPlatinum If you include only albums, the Top3 is: Madonna 57xP Adele 36xP Celine Dion 31xP
