This statement is also inarguably false (sorry @SaintWest!) There's nothing wrong with them when they're done well. Most PH contestants seem to find writing lyrically strong non-radio friendly songs (i.e. more poetic lyrical compositions) easier than lyrically strong radio friendly songs and that's just a statistical fact. Which is what makes it a good challenge! (Also keep in mind you're all doing this challenge so it's an even playing field.)
