I have to say I really didn't enjoy this one at all, and I think this is the first entry I haven't enjoyed from this artist. It was just super generic-sounding to me. A "Hate That I Love You" from the first round tea

 

@Satan: Rihanna - Unfaithful

This is a THROWBACK. Man, she sounds so young here. Not what I was expecting to be submitted, but I enjoy this song

 

@fiercE: Maroon 5 - Just A Feeling

It was listenable.

 

@KatyCatPH: Katy Perry - Lost

This is so dated-sounding now. This kinda pop-rock ballad isn't really my thing at all. I don't find this enjoyable and honestly this was a disappointing choice for me (but partially because I'm the BIGGEST Save as Draft/Miss You More stan)

 

@rooby.booby: Nelly Furtado - Try

Quite like this one. Not one of my favourites this round, but it's nice.

I appreciate the sentiment and I feel bad for saying that I don't like this but I just feel like this is executed poorly and it doesn't really give me the emotion that I would want from a song like this. But like, that's just my personal take, I know there are fans who love this song. I'm sorry omg

Fun fact: When I played If You Say So the other day, my mum cried because it reminded her of our dog. I didn't think anything of it before playing the song as I know she loves that song because she loves singing the chorus, but she did make me stop watching The Only Way Is Essex as she wanted to come into my room.

I was tempted to put Unfaithful last since in the narrative she is cheating on him so really I struggle to feel sorry for her at all  Like I understand the struggle but it's not exactly tragic in any way. The song is fantastic tho.

4. Katy Perry - Lost

I'm so happy you sent a ballad from One of the Boys! My favorite Katy album. The song is very relate able. Unpopular opinion but I really like her voice during OOTB. Feels more natural to me and adds more emotion to the ballads. She kinda brought it back with Save as Draft though which I appreciated.

Finally! Someone who can appreciate Katy on her lyrical best. And yes her voice here makes the song more emotional and that is why I sent this one. Especially with the live version.

But you are not supposed to enjoy the song though. And tbh lyrically SAD/MYM are inferior compared to lost though vocally and production-wise, those Witness tracks are better. But okay, thanj you for the comments.
