I've been meaning to get into Natalia's full discography (I'm only familiar with some of her singles) since I saw a trio dance to "Controversy" at the Dance World Cup and I was GAGGED. I don't even think your explanation was needed, the challenge specified "love song" and this song heavily discusses Natalia's ideas of love, so this hits the nail on the head and is an unconventional choice too. I wish more people had chosen songs like this actually. This is everything. SUCH a slayful end to the round.“

 

Yess at you liking Controversy!!! Her flawless Trouble album was produced entirely by Jeff Bhasker/Emile Haynie so it’s VERY similar to Lana Del Rey’s BTD album. Lyrics wise too she’s very LDR, Marina + the diamonds, Gaga during TFM but still makes it her own. Her first album is cute too but what makes Trouble so great is how personal and intimate the album is, almost every song tells a story from her past.

 

She’s def a niche artist. Fun, happy, love songs are not Natalia’s ballpark at ALL, but she has plenty of flawless dark songs I’m looking forward to sharing if she’s makes it past this round LOL nnn

It was a hard decision okay? I don't want to be labelled predictable or basic. Last Friday Night IS the ultimate fun video but Waking Up In Vegas is quality-wise better.

Some of the choices really irk me cause I feel like there are some obvious choices for some artists, yet they were not picked. Maybe you guys are playing a strategic move to save some songs/videos for later?

2. Celebrate - Lots of fun and kept it simple. Plus the song was "fun" themed as well 

3. Break Free - everything about this is fun, looks like a lot of effort went into the music video,  plus I really love BF. (mess at this vid having more budget than my fave's video discography tho  )

4. Waking Up In Vegas (Agree that LFN would have been the better option but it's still a solid entry )

5. Really Don't Care - The song is v carefree and v fun so great combo with the video.

Top 4: Conceptual, high budget, SUPER FUN videos I could watch on repeat!

5: Not a typical fun entry but I love to dance and this video screams freedom and letting go, I can really relate to this.

6-9: These are, well yeh, fun in a generic way!

10-13: Cute.

14-15: Still cute but slightly more lacking of any laughter or excitement.
