So unless I'm figuring it our wrong...Iggy has 1 platinum cert for TNC and is certified for 21 million singles including features.

So a total of 22 M

Thank you so much for contributing. Halsey is actually ahead of Tina Turner. I added Camila but not 5H as a group - this thread is only about females.

You should add 5H for Camila if The Scene were considered for Selena :michael: Unless it’s because she was the only vocalist in The Scene.

26. IGGY AZALEA: 22,5 million records sold (21,5 million singles + 1 million albums)

27. ALANIS MORISSETTE: 21,3 million records sold (0,5 million singles + 20,5 million albums + 0,3 million videos)

Poor Alanis. Iggy outsold... :celestial6:

? The Fame being certified 3X plat when it’s almost 5x plat in sales alone ?

It's eligible for Diamond.

The RIAA is the most ridiculous thing in music people accept as fact.

1. They count shipments instead of sales

2. Youtube = Paid Streaming

3. Certifications aren't automatic, some of the biggest musicians don't pay for their certifactions which makes them appear much smaller than they actually are. The inconsistencies are way too much.

I think people like to use because the word gold, platinum, and diamond are attractive.

All global sales are just shipments. Youtube is more important than paid streaming. The last part I agree with - my fave certified a single in 2007 and then didn’t certify another one until 2016 :skull:

thats double counting tho since the singles are calculated as records sold separately already. the OP is doing it right

Double counting is allowed for this. RIAA uses equivalents for both singles and albums.

Yeah that's the reason why I added The Scene also - they were basically just playing for her.

I feel like there’s a lot of women missing from this. :skull:

Feel free to pop a few names and I'll add them.

I don’t understand why users make threads like these when they haven’t even put in the effort to compile the data....

Ciara

4x Albums

8.5 x Singles

Undercertified since she has been through so many labels!

12.5 total I believe until her new era starts :eli:
