280k with a SB performance and by debuting a new album a day before is still tragic to be fair. Without it he would have done less than 50%

We can’t be so sure seeing that SB barely had an effect. Which makes sense given that he didn’t promote the album there, Filthy was barely a noticeable performance. So this is great in my humble opinion. Yes I expected more but given that his peers have fallen so far off it’s not bad.

280k is obviously nothing to be ashamed of nowadays but in his situation, it's extremely disappointing.

Artists never promote their new album at the Superbowl, they perform their current new single and that + the show itself is enough promotion for the album and the song.

He got a lot of attention and sales because he was the one performing this year, that's why people heard of his album and bought/streamed. His numbers would not have been good if he had not been chosen to do it.

The album wouldve done just the same.

Only singles/classic hits received a huge push on iTunes. One of the biggest actually.

His label obviously bought the increase.  Sad.

Yup. Just like they bought Supplies to push it to #1 on iTunes.

OT: The new numbers are still bad.

Still disappointing numbers but at least they went up. Hopefully Say Something can become a hit and keep the album afloat
