It was a horrible performance.

But really, we have nothing to compare this to. These shows really do focus more on the touring aspect, performing the hits with sprinkle of new material, sometimes. And the Super Bowl audience isn’t watching the game for potentially purchasing the new music by the halftime artist. So there’s no guarantee there’d be some rush to iTunes.

It was dumb he didn’t do Say Something with Chris. That really would’ve got the fingers moving. But the show was a disemboweled mess altogether, so I’m glad it didn’t included. Would’ve been a missed opportunity either way.

And the overall is still that these are weak numbers for his name. But it is also a bad album, so it isn’t so shocking. Do we even the know raw numbers or is 300-315k not SPS?

Though we initially expected it to bow as high as 700k+ (probably because we forgot to plug in our abacus), Justin Timberlake's Man of the Woods (RCA) now appears on track for a first-week total in the neighborhood of 250k-275k. Streaming accounts for less than 20% of that total. JT's Super Bowl halftime performance does not appear to have boosted the underperforming set.

Almost as bad as those iconic Teenage Dream 750k predictions. :deadbanana:

The pure sales aren't tragic.

The streaming isn't that good though...

still 4th #1 and good 22 years in. Most people could only dream with this much negative press and polarizing singles.

Not bad, but I was definitely expecting a lot more with the Super Bowl.

Too bad he had the SB, this could have been much more iconic without it.
