(Relatively of course — it was pulling less streams, but doing better relative to how is now in comparison to her other songs.) That's why even though it's roughly in the same range of daily streams as Paparazzi now, it has over a 100M stream advantage over it.

 

My theory is it's because of Beyoncé, as I feel like Telephone was doing better in daily streams (again, relative to the rest of her discography) when she had more streaming pull a few years ago. This can further be supported by its daily streams cooling off as Beyoncé's streaming power has cooled off in the last 2-3 years.

There could be some truth to this. But I also feel like it has to do with the respective eras too. TF has two massive global smashes in JD and PF and then there's also LG now, Paparazzi never really got the time to shine as much. TFM, on the other hand, mainly has BR as the big smash of the era and then Telephone and Alejandro being on the next tier. Also, let's just face it, the Telephone video is ICONIC. An all-female power pop collab that was a moment. That alone is enough to make people feel nostalgic and stream it.

But yeah, Paparazzi deserves a lot more. One of her best songs AND videos. Glad it's doing 200k+ now tho!

Paparazzi's daily streams were also tragic years ago, iirc, it was pulling in ~50k daily compared to Telephone which was pulling in ~100-150k daily. Only until recently has Paparazzi's streams immensely improved and Telephone's stalled.

I expect alejandro to go viral one day but not TEPIG. Why would that song go viral lol judas outstreamed it both on youtubr and spotify. TEOG had the most exposure on spotify for that 10th year anniversary and still didn’t do much.its Judas that deserves all the flowers.

TEOG was actually pulling in good numbers last year during BTW's anniversary. IIRC it was getting above 200K daily streams. IDK if it lost playlisting but it's been doing way less numbers than Judas

 

MR's streams dipped though. During the ASIB era it was doing over 400K daily. She needs to add it to more playlists along with TEOG and Alejandro.
