Do you know what is the longest charting single overall in France?

201 weeks - Shape of You (OUT)
146 weeks - Trop beau
144 weeks - La vie qu'on mène
137 weeks - Bad Guy (OUT)

126 weeks - Djadja (OUT)

124 weeks - Shallow
125 weeks - Goutte d'eau (OUT)

122 weeks - Dance Monkey

So, since Billie Ellish is was a girl, Shallow is not #2 but #03 :toofunny3:  (there are 2 versions of Bad Guy, that's why I was wrong, oops)

Shallow and JD needed to be certified Diamond at the same time :jonnycat:

Could you imagine? However... Shallow is probably still a year and a half or two years off from going Diamond. Just Dance should be eligible now

Chromatica: 1.132M US SPS

2020: 842k

2021: 290k

If only she would have pushed it more, it might be well on it's way to 2M. :chick3:

The way The Fame did 632K in 2020 and 2021, over 10 years after release, and increased ~18% from 2020 (290K) to 2021 (342K). :deadbanana:

IKR? Imagine with the Fortnite concert, Sour Candy MV and all the cancelled promo.....this was probably her last chance ever of having a multi platinum studio album :cries:

Do you know what is Joanne's total in the US by now? I assume it passed 1.4m

The Fame was certified 6x Platinum on March 27th 2020 , as far as we know it might already be eligible for 7x Platinum!

On that note...it's likely very, very close to 10M by now using Billboard's methodology. Here's the breakdown.

We know that as of March 2020, The Fame is at 6M and The Fame Monster 5M per the RIAA. We also know that as of March 2019, The Fame Monster sold 1.65M pure. Using these numbers — and knowing that all SEA and TEA for The Fame Monster is going to The Fame using Billboard's methodology — if we subtract 1.65M (The Fame Monster pure sales as of March 2019) from 5M (The Fame Monster RIAA SPS as of March 2020) to get The Fame Monster's SEA + TEA and then add that number to The Fame's RIAA SPS, we will get The Fame's Billboard SPS as of March 2020:

5M - 1.65M = 3.35M

6M + 3.35M = 9.35M

If we then add an averaged 9 months of its 2020 SPS (since we have to assume that ~January-March 2020 was likely included in that March 2020 RIAA certification) and its full 2021 SPS from Billboard's 2020 and 2021 year-end reports (so 560K), we get a rough total of 9.91M units using Billboard methodology.

It could be lower or higher depending on how much The Fame Monster sold between that March 2019 update and when it was certified in March 2020 (which would lower that 3.35M figure, and subsequently The Fame's estimated total, some) and how much of The Fame's 2020 consumption took place in that January-March 2020 timeframe (if more than the 12 month average took place in that 3 month span, than the total figure would be a bit lower, and vice versa), but...this is all to say that it's almost undoubtedly passing 10M Billboard units in the first half of this year. :duca:

Also, sorry I didn't see this part of your post — I'm not 100% sure on Joanne's numbers, but since it was at 1.3M as of May 2020, I think it's fair to say it's passed 1.4M by now? I have no idea how much it's moving weekly though. :deadbanana:

Honestly though, I'm confident ARTPOP and Chromatica will crawl past 2M eventually, especially if the former gets some type of revival with the whole social media movement from last year and if the latter gets some type of revival from the tour and any parts of the pre-planned era for it they're still holding onto.

This is extremely flawed becayse the 3.35 million has already been attributed to The Fame Monster with it certification. Its done and gone.

You cannot take that and add it on to the Fame also.

The TEA and SEA are all being counted together NOW, but the part that was used to certify The Fame Monster seperately for it is for it only.

Firstly, why are you in the receipts thread of an artist you don't like? :skull:

And secondly, um...what? You're mixing two different methodologies together. Billboard's methodology of counting SEA and TEA for The Fame and The Fame Monster is entirely different than how the RIAA does it — Billboard has always counted all SEA and TEA from the latter towards the former, while the RIAA has always separated them. You're right, the 3.35M figure is indeed attributed to The Fame Monster...for RIAA purposes, but not for Billboard purposes, which my post was trying to estimate with the data we have available. At the end of the day, RIAA and Billboard album units usually mirror one another pretty well, meaning there's not much point in distinguishing them normally, but since they both view these albums so differently, it's a fair point to draw the distinction.

To summarize, there's no double counting here because basically I'm saying that per RIAA's methodology, The Fame is at 6M+ and The Fame Monster is at 5M+ (this is a fact, as they were both respectively certified as such in March 2020), and I'm then using that and other data we have to estimate that, per Billboard's methodology, The Fame is at around 9.91M and The Fame Monster is at 1.65M+.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about, it's two different methodologies by Billboard and RIAA:rip:

Oh yeah makes sense as The Fame Monsters chart run was pre streaming. No idea why she was so messy about it - it should have been a reissue or a new album. Just pick one :)

Chartmasters had it at 2.97M units without the pure sales update. My guess is that it’s at 3.2M

Chromatica gains aroun 25% of it´s streams & 15% of it´s views from the US.

It has ~700k streaming units from the US.

Based on the upper percentage, it moved around 2.1M streaming units worldwide.

If you add all of it together 2.8M (streaming) +850k (pure) + 170K (digital & phasical singles) = 3.820.000

Given the fact, that some countries weighten streams less or more, it´s definitely possible that its moved more than 3.7M album units WW.
