This ''chart'' is such a mess now. They just randomly started including streaming figures to estimated physical sales figures in '17 and act like the rest of its run the releases had no streaming. :deadbanana3:

That's why Musicharts is better, they compile official figures from every national chart so it's more accurate

Exactly. And a lot of people mistakenly keep referring to these figures as pure sales.

Wait it's true, they add the 2017 weeks (SPS) to the previous total (pure sales) like they're the same thing.  A mess.

Wait how much would the Fame be at with SPS/TEA?

Like 22M with TEA alone.

Maybe 27M with SEA? There's no way to know streams to songs that old.

Musicharts is inaccurate. They had Views as 1.2m first week when it did 1.04m in US alone and 90K+ in Canada, 60K+ in UK.

I'm pretty sure it didn't do 7.5 billion streams in the pre-streaming era

Mediatraffic is even worse now :skull:

I don't really trust them either, best to just do hard estimates or follow the new releases #'s Fred releases

Mediatraffic is honestly a mess now though. There needs to be more information and it would be nice to know pure and SPS like in local markets.
