Playa Playa Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 (edited) I need to start watching videos more. But so many you mentioned would be on my own list (LMK, Slip Away, New Rules, Spice Girl, Boys). 21 hours ago, Pink Matter said: Of course. The EP doesn't let up for a second. And I checked the Groove Curse and it was really nice I have some free time today so I'll listen to it in a lil bit. Listen to The Light, Midnight Mischief, Nerve, Theta State and Rooftop - they are my other faves by him. Edited January 3, 2018 by Playa Playa
Pink Matter Posted January 3, 2018 Author Posted January 3, 2018 (edited) Album Honorable Mentions Pt. 2 These are the albums that almost made the cut but didn't, either because I didn't listen to them as much as the ones in my top 50, or the quality wasn't as good as that of the albums in my top 50. Princess Nokia|1992 (Deluxe) (Trap Rap) (Would've made my top 50 but I figured since it came out in 2016, I should give it's spot to an album that came out in 2017.) Listen to: Bart Simpson, Mine, Green Line Syd|Fin (Alt. R&B) Listen: Shake Em Off, Nothin to Somethin, All About Me Calvin Harris|Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 (Dance Pop, Funk, Hip-Hop) Listen to: Slide, Prayers Up, Feels The xx|I See You (Indie Pop, Indietronica) Listen to: Dangerous, A Violent Noise, I Dare You Joey Bada$$|ALL AMERIKKKAN BADA$$ (Hip-Hop) Listen to: LAND OF THE FREE, ROCKABYE BABY, RING THE ALARM Edited January 3, 2018 by Pink Matter
Pink Matter Posted January 3, 2018 Author Posted January 3, 2018 Album Honorable Mentions Pt. 3 These albums were great on my first/second listen, but due to certain circumstances, I was unable to go back to them and give them more proper listens. These albums still deserve some recognition though. BROCKHAMPTON|Saturation (Hip-Hop) BROCKHAMPTON|Saturation 3 (Hip-Hop) Charli XCX|Number 1 Angel (Electropop) Charli XCX|Pop 2 (Electropop)
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted January 3, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted January 3, 2018 Justice for Wolf Alice andZola Jesus all the other HMs are very HM worthy, decent albums but nothing noteworthy except bjork and khalid who suck imo. Princess Nokia is one of those artists who has a lot of bad songs but every once in a while she'll rip all my follicles out.

Wolf Alice was one that I only got to listen to once or twice Zola was towards the bottom of my top 50 and ended up getting punched out though. Poor ha. And weirdly enough, your PN comment reminds me of a Pitchfork comment that went something like "her pouring hot soup on a racist has been better than all the music she's dropped". Made me cackle a bit
Playa Playa Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Not surprised you couldn't give these album proper listens They overwhelmed us with music lol but yeah great stuff etc
Eeveelution Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Most of them are honorable mention material tbh. Yeah give Charli those strihms,
Lucas32 Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Oh wow so many amazing album "just" in the HMs. Excited for the actual list
Tom Vercetti Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 I still haven't listened to the snoop dogg album but part of me was thinking I wasn't gonna miss anything anyway. I agree on a number of HMs.
montrealxo Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 good honorable mentions. perched for the list

They left a strong impression though. 2 hours ago, Eeveelution said: Most of them are honorable mention material tbh. I agree on a number of HMs. It's pretty soid for the most part. I'd recommend at least once listen. I haven't listened to anything outside of Doggystyle so I'm not sure if it's similar to anything else he's released recently. 1 hour ago, montrealxo said: good honorable mentions. perched for the list Stay tuned

SYRE was actually decent production wise at least, because I didn't get a chance to listen to lyrics thoroughly. Still I was shook
World Eater Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 5H and Jhené being next to Goddive, Feist, Pörk and The National, the DISRESPECT And mess @ 2 BROCKHAMPTON/Charli releases appearing on the same post
