album Taylor Swift - 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT: THE ANTHOLOGY'
IBeMe replied to Almodusa's topic in Music
yes as in she shipped them for the 5th week?! it's confirmed? or yes as in you were agreeing with me?! because if she shipped those "But Daddy I Love Him (Acoustic)" Exclusive CDs she might actually have a shot at blocking Billie! let's say the digital albums + the 70k physical CDs are all counted for this week....she has a real shot of doing another 270k ish type of week which puts it neck to neck with HMSH....obviously Billie could rise in prediction and stuff but it will be an actual chart battle! Taylor's 5th week vs Billie debut week THRILLING CHART BATTLES ARE WHAT ATRL WERE MADE FOR --------------- and yes, the fact she has 10 friggin shows for the UK is INSANE! the impact will be felt for a long time too since it's spread out. Her European dominance will continue all summer long before ending the tour back in North America (Canada). I'm still pissed I couldnt get tickets (and now there are some in the resale market but they are way too pricy for me atm) I know this is deluded but I do wish she adds more north american dates. I'd travel from Canada to the US if she did but I doubt she will and tbh I think she is overworked at this point so yeah I wont hold my breath but yeah -

SweetTalker replied to James_Dean's topic in Base
Does Billie's vinyl really sound as bad as people are making it out to be? Some complain about lots of cracks and pops, others about the overall (terrible) mastering job. Anyone can confirm or rebuke these claims? -

celeb news Selena Gomez receives standing ovation at Cannes Film Festival
suburbannature replied to Save The Day's topic in Celebria
The standing o isn't for Selena almost every film at Cannes gets a standing ovation after premiering and then they announce the director/cast while everyone continues to applaud. The shortest standing o last year was 4-5 minutes if I remember correctly. -

Confirmation that IU using her own personal sajaegi machinery to get the most for all these SM shares she never wanted. From what I understand by first hand reporting, the girls were hired for this thing just like any job (they are not trainees by contract), so there is a salary and perdiem. But the salary is kinda nothing (at least for the first wave of hires) because they were scammed into thinking their ownership shares in all the NFTs/blockchain the project is generating will allow them to buy a 4th division soccer team in England when they're done with this. At least for them crypto winter has broken into crypto spring! Hopefully this turns out better than that time the Korean space agency used that Tri.Be song in conjunction with their first rocket launch, only to have that rocket blow up soon after launch. Hopefully, for all of us. Also, there's that thing where fans of a certain group see the company spending money on other groups as wasting their faves money. So by proxy this Min Heejin thing is someone trying to steal their faves money, and they took that personally. -
Her best album by far.

base talk Should Austin Mahone get credit for the current country crossover that we are seeing?
Fleahive posted a topic in Base
On June 3rd, 2023, Austin Mahone stopped the world when he transitioned from Pop/R&B to reclaiming his country roots with his hit single "Kuntry". Not long after Beyonce followed in his foot steps. The AMERIICAN REQUIEM singer wanted to remind the world that she's country too. Now it appears that several R&B artists are hopping on the same train to country land.... 3 weeks ago Travis Garland has made his grand return to music after a 4 year hiatus and living off royalties from Beyonce's Heated sample. And now most recently ZAYN has released his country/folk inspired album this past Friday. Lana and so many more to come this year... It's not the first time we've seen Pop artists attempt country. But it can't be denied that we are seeing a surge this year, especially in R&B artists. Why? Is it a hint to the world reverting back to conservative traditions? And should Austin Mahone received his flowers for the current country crossover revolution that we are seeing? -
