As others have said, the older you get the less you care about friendships. There's 1 or 2 people nowadays I would call my friends bc I don't feel the need to censor myself or feel awkward when I'm around them and those are the ones I keep in touch with, although not as often as we did when we were younger. It also doesn't help if you live in different countries so there's that as well. Hanging out with them is not important for me at all though tbh. A text or a meme exchange every other week is enough for me (and them I suppose) to feel like we have each other's back when we need support.
