Lil Wayne lands his fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as Tha Carter V debuts atop the tally. The set, which was released on Sept. 28 via Young Money/Republic Records, makes a splash with 480,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Oct. 4, according to Nielsen Music. That sum is the third-largest week for an album in 2018. Further, Tha Carter V also opens with the second-biggest streaming week ever for an album, with 433 million on-demand audio streams logged for its songs in its first week. Units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new Oct. 13-dated chart -- where Tha Carter V debuts at No. 1 -- will be posted in full on Billboard's websites on Tuesday, Oct. 9. Of Tha Carter V’s 480,000 units, most were driven by SEA units: 325,000. Brazil: Medicina - 11 weeks at #1

From now and on, this thread will be fixed. Every week I'll post the weekly charts here. Billboard official Brazil's chart formula is solely made by airplay spins in some Brazilian major cities (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Recife, Campinas, Salvador and etc.) The Brazilian charts are divided by overall airplay charts (Brazilian country music, axé, funk carioca, pagode, samba, Brazilian pop/rock and international music) and the pop airplay charts (basically based on international pop/rock/dance music, latin music, brazilian funk, crossover brazilian pop music and brazilian rock music). Of course I'll post in here the pop airplay charts. 15. Carrie Underwood Makes Country History on the Billboard 200 Chart As 'Cry Pretty' Debuts at No. 1 The set launches with the biggest week of the year for a woman, and the largest for a country album in more than three years. Carrie Underwood lands her fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as Cry Pretty starts atop the list. The set, which was released on Sept. 14 via Capitol Nashville, bows with 266,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Sept. 20 according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 251,000 were in traditional album sales. With the arrival at No. 1, Underwood makes country history: she's the first woman to bring four country albums to the top of the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new Sept. 29-dated chart (where Cry Pretty debuts at No. 1) will be posted in full on Billboard's websites on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Of Cry Pretty’s 266,000 units, most were in album sales: 251,000, as noted above. The remainder was comprised of SEA units (11,000) and TEA units (4,000). https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/8476470/carrie-underwood-country-history-billboard-200-cry-pretty-no-1 Billboard 200: #1(new) @carrieunderwood, Cry Pretty 266,000 (251,000 in pure sales). Maroon 5's "Girls Like You," featuring Cardi B, ascends to No. 1, after six weeks waiting at No. 2, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated Sept. 29). Maroon 5 dethrones the 6 God, as Drake's "In My Feelings," which led the list for 10 weeks, drops to No. 2. Notably, "Girls" is the first pop song to top the Hot 100 since January, ending a record 34-week streak of rap No. 1s. Meanwhile, two tracks enter the Hot 100's top 10: Eminem's "Killshot" soars onto the chart at No. 3, arriving as the rapper's milestone 20th top 10, and 5 Seconds of Summer's "Youngblood" lifts 11-10, becoming the band's first top 10. Let's run down the top 10 on the newest Hot 100, which blends all-genre U.S. streaming, radio airplay and digital sales data. 16. Introducing… Banner by DivaCup Welcome to the ATRL Top 50! A new top 50 songs chart where ATRL's taste is fairly represented. The latest issue can be read here. All you have to do is sign up with your ATRL and Last.fm username. https://goo.gl/forms/8pui4b0w9pTywGcf1 From 2011 to 2013, forum mod Porygon2z used to run a forum-wide chart based on ATRL's tastes (with a formula change coming later in the chart's life when it totally represented ATRL's tastes, and Billboard bonuses were dropped). Unfortunately, the chart eventually died, and people moved onto the Most Addicted Members chart. However, with a program that Reddit user letsallpoo made, I can now carry on with this chart. With this program (made by again, Reddit user letsallpoo), I can gather the top 15s of a group of people and compile it together into one huge list. So, how exactly does the program work, and what is the chart methodology? The program collects the top 15s of a group of people that I list in a text file. It then aggregates all the top 15s into one grand chart. The program ignores the play count in the top 15s; it looks at the placements. The #1 song gets 19 points, and the #15 song gets 4 points. The tracking period will be set to be the last seven days of every profile. The tracking week is from Thursday at 12:00 PM UTC to the next Thursday at 11:59:59 AM UTC. I will be updating the chart every week on Thursdays or Fridays. Chart rules - There is no limit on how many songs can show up by one act. - Cover songs are not allowed to chart unless they are officially released to a major music outlet (such as Spotify, iTunes, etc.) by either themselves or their label. - There are no recurrent rules. - Only official remixes released to major music outlets are allowed to chart. Any other non-official remix will have its points mixed in with the main track, unless it manages to actually be popular to a point that it goes top 15. - A- and B-tracks of a single will be counted separately. - If there's a track with multiple songs in one (like Lorde's "Hard Feelings/Loveless", and Pharrell William's "Lost Queen" that features the hidden track "Freq"), it will chart the way the artist intended it to be. That means no splitting of "Lost Queen" and "Freq" from each other, and no splitting "Hard Feelings" and "Loveless" from each other. Those are examples, but you get the gist. - Leaked music will be able to chart, but only if they are scraps of an album, such as Marina & the Diamonds' "I'm Not Hungry Anymore". Songs that are confirmed to be released (such as when Taylor Swift's Reputation leaked the day before release) will have points from the period it was leaked merged into the points the song receives in its official release week. Definitions of what is considered as "alternative/rock", "Asian", and "urban" With the arrival of the Urban Songs Chart and the Asian Songs Chart starting from the second issue, dated 7 July 2017, and the arrival of the Alternative & Rock Songs Chart starting from the twenty-third issue, dated 30 November 2017, some people may have been confused or wondering what I consider as "alternative/rock", "Asian", and "urban". Here are the definitions: Alternative/rock - Any song that is officially sent to alternative stations and active rock stations in the United States, any song that is alternative pop, rock (and its subgenres), indie genres (indie pop, etc), metal, dream pop, AOR, etc., and any song that has major rock influences and alternative music influences. Pop-rock and other related genres will be considered, but very closely. If it's stuff like Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend", then it'll be counted. Asian - Any song that is performed in an Asian language. Whether it be Korean, Arabic, Hindustani, Mandarin, Tagalog… any language that comes from Asia. It is a very literal definition. Urban - Any song that is officially sent to urban/UAC radios in the United States, and any song that is rap, hip-hop, R&B (including alt-R&B), dancehall, reggae, Afrobeats, zouk, horrorcore, etc. Pop-rap, and comedy rap/novelty acts such as Lil Dicky do not count. And genre-bending music like songs from Calvin Harris's Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 also will not count. This is because, even though they tend to feature acts that make generally urban music, and the songs themselves are mostly funk and disco, which are urban genres, they have a very clear pop lean and the hooks are more sing-song. Alright, how do I sign up? You may sign up through here. If Google Forms isn't working for you for whatever reason, first try Chrome. If that doesn't work, please let me know in this thread so I can add you. You are allowed to sign up from Monday to Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. You are not allowed to sign up on Fridays because this is when the program begins to collect stats from all the Last.fm's to create the chart. The process is only about 10-20 minutes depending on the amount of people and amount of variety in music tastes you all have… But still. To leave, please notify me via private message. Again, PLEASE do make sure to sign up through HERE. If the site isn't working, let me know so I can add you.

  18. Paul McCartney Earns First No. 1 Album in Over 36 Years on Billboard 200 Chart With 'Egypt Station' It’s his first debut at No. 1, and first chart-topper since “Tug of War” in 1982. Paul McCartney achieves his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart in over 36 years, as his new studio effort, Egypt Station, bows atop the list. The set, which was released on Sept. 7 via MPL/Capitol Records, launches with a larger-than-expected 153,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Sept. 13 according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 147,000 were in traditional album sales. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new Sept. 22-dated chart, where Egypt Station debuts at No. 1, will be posted in full on Billboard's websites on Tuesday, Sept. 18. Of Egypt Station’s 153,000 units, the majority were powered by traditional album sales: 147,000 copies sold. The remainder was comprised of SEA units (5,000) and TEA units (1,000). https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/8475341/paul-mccartney-first-no-1-album-in-over-36-years-on-billboard-200-chart Billboard 200: #1(new) @PaulMcCartney, Egypt Station 153,000 (147,000 in pure sales). Drake's "In My Feelings" tallies a 10th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100chart (dated Sept. 22), granting the superstar yet another record: he leads the Hot 100 for an unprecedented 29th week in 2018, via his three No. 1s this year, passing Usher for the most time atop the chart in a single year. Usher tallied 28 weeks at No. 1 in 2004. Meanwhile, Drake becomes the first soloist, and second act overall, after Boyz II Men, with three songs that have topped the Hot 100 for at least 10 weeks each, as "Feelings" joins Drake's two other smashes that led for at least that long: "God's Plan," earlier this year, and "One Dance," featuring WizKid and Kyla, in 2016. Plus, Kanye West and Lil Pump's "I Love It" soars onto the Hot 100 at No. 6, as it arrives atop the Streaming Songs chart. Let's run down the top 10 on the newest Hot 100, which blends all-genre U.S. streaming, radio airplay and digital sales data.
