  5. It’ll be her first major label release since 2015, after dropping “Beauty Marks” independently in 2019. New single “Jump” announced for July 8th.
  6. In my opinion after Can't Remember to Forget You and Empire there really hasn't been a clear intention to aim for the English speaking market. Girl Like Me was nice but a feature and Don't Wait Up, well.... Is Shakira focusing on the Spanish market moving forward in her career? There's rumors about an album called Deseo Inherente coming up and honestly it makes sense for her to go for a mostly Spanish record. It is clear to see it is easier and more natural to her, also I have even noticed her English isn't as fluent anymore. I don't think she has anything to prove at this point. Thoughts atrlers?
  7. It's obviously Kylie. Then again, Dua does follow him on Twitter, while Kylie doesn't. Hmm...

  12. I've just been reading about it on another forum, so please don't shoot the messenger, but it appears Janet has lost control of her back catalogue. In 2018, she used her rights to songs from Control, Rhythm Nation 1814, janet. and The Velvet Rope as collateral in a new contract with a company called Cinq Music Group, and was supposed to deliver a new album to them by a certain date. She failed to do so, and they published a legal notice on the front page of a Billboard bulletin last October stating that the rights to her past hits will now go to auction. You can read the "NOTIFICATION OF DISPOSITION OF COLLATERAL" at the bottom of the first page here: https://www.billboard.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/october-14-2022-billboard-bulletin.pdf I'm a huge Janet fan and found it quite shocking. What do you guys think?

As she navigates the challenges of heartbreak, self-doubt, and ultimately, self-acceptance, Clarkson's powerful voice and authentic lyrics will likely resonate with those who have experienced similar struggles. However, it's not all heartache and sadness. Clarkson's innate resilience and strength are also evident in her new music. As she moves through the stages of loss and healing, she emerges as a stronger and more empowered individual, embracing her independence and newfound self-worth. This message of hope and perseverance is sure to inspire listeners, reminding them that even in the darkest times, there is always a way forward." 15. Ed Sheeran recorded 14 tracks with Aaron Dessner for - ("Subtract"), but that’s not the end of Ed and Dessner’s collaboration. Ed yanked three tracks from the album that felt too joyous, and realized they were the start of something else. “It was very quickly seen that we were making two different things,” says Sheeran. He went on to write an entirely separate second album with Dessner. He’s already mixing that one, though he’s not sure when it will come out; he wants to give – a chance to breathe. “I have no goals for the record,” he says. “I just want to put it out.” “This is how it feels to be in love, This is magical“ he sings on Magical,” from his second album with Dessner. Another Dessner song, a likely single, has a bright “Solsbury Hill” feel: “Saturday night is giving me a reason to rely on a strobe light,” he sings, amid more meditations on grief. A third Dessner production is a surging Bruce Springsteen-inspired track called “England.” Ed Sheeran has five more albums in mind using another category of symbols, one he’s not ready to share, at least on the record. There is yet another completed album waiting in the wings, a collaboration with reggaeton superstar J Balvin. The album is all ready to go, complete with already-shot videos, but with no release date in sight. He plays a track that bridges Afropop and reggaeton, with Burna Boy joining him and Balvin. Another Balvin production is a collaboration with Daddy Yankee, with Sheeran singing a hook between rapped verses; yet another is a slower reggaeton song where Sheeran actually raps in Spanish. “I wrote it in English,” he says, “and they translated it in the studio.” There are collaborations with Pharrell Williams and Shakira as well — turns out Sheeran has been writing for her next album, too, because why not? https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/ed-sheeran-new-album-subtract-tour-cover-story-interview-1234694319/
